Rapid and accurate identification effective non-drug intervention are the worldwide challenges in field of depression. Electroencephalogram (EEG) signals contain rich quantitative markers depression, but whole-brain EEG acquisition process is too complicated to be applied on a large-scale population. Based wearable frontal lobe monitoring device developed by authors' laboratory, this study discussed application signal depression recognition intervention. The technical principle commonly used devices were introduced. Key technologies for signals-based existing limitations reviewed discussed. Finally, closed-loop brain-computer music interface system personalized was proposed, further This review paper may contribute transformation relevant theories from basic research application, advance screening intervention. .

(1) Background: The aim of this study was to analyze the impact pharmacogenetic-guided antidepressant therapy on 12-month evolution intensity depressive symptoms in patients with recurrent disorder (RDD) comparison a control group subjects who were treated conventionally. (2) Methods: This prospective longitudinal conducted between 2019 and 2022, evaluated by employing Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAM-D), Anxiety (HAM-A) Clinical Global Impressions Scale: Severity Improvement. We followed them up at 1, 3, 6, 12 months. (3) Results: Of 76 RDD, 37 tested genetically (Group A) 39 not B). Although from Group A had statistically significantly more severe MDD baseline than those B (p < 0.001), adjusting their according genetic testing, they progressive substantial reduction severity RDD [F = 74.334; η2 0.674; p 0.001], indicating association results provided testing (67.4%). (4) Conclusions: In poor response therapy, pharmacogenetic allows for treatment adjustment, resulting constant superior depression anxiety symptoms.

Background: Depression presents with altered energy regulation and neural plasticity. Previous electroencephalography (EEG) studies showed that practice increases power in beta range (13-30 Hz) healthy subjects but not those impaired Here, we ascertain whether depression alterations of spectral activity connectivity before after practice. Methods: We used publicly available resting state EEG (64 electrodes) 122 subjects. Based on Beck Inventory (BDI) score, they were assigned to either high BDI (hBDI, BDI>13, N=46) or control (CTL, BDI<7, N=75) group. analyzed activity, theta-beta theta-gamma phase-amplitude coupling (PAC) recorded a learning task. Results: At baseline, compared CTL, hBDI group exhibited greater over fronto-parietal regions gamma right parieto-occipital area. After practice, all frequency ranges observed only CTL. Theta-beta PAC the task Conclusions: The lack substantial post-task growth depressed likely represents saturation due baseline values. speculate inhibitory/excitatory imbalance, plasticity mechanisms, dysregulation present may contribute this phenomenon.

Abstract Many experts have extensively studied the potential of exercise as a treatment option for psychiatric conditions, including depression and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Despite their core symptoms, these conditions exhibits comparable component traits, an anxiety. In this study, we explored effect on behavioral abnormalities in focusing its intensity emotional resilience. Shank3B knockout (KO SED ) mice displaying self-injurious repetitive behavior C57BL/6J mice, susceptible to stress ASD model, respectively, were subjected moderate-intensity (ME) 2 weeks. ME mitigated symptoms (excessive grooming traits despair) but did not exert significant anxiolytic effect. Notably, has emerged critical determinant efficacy, evidenced by lower ventilation threshold mediated low-intensity exercise. The findings substantiate notion that is promising disease-modifying treatment, matters Graphical
