Carbonate alkalinity (CA) is the major toxic factor that interferes with survival and growth of shrimp in saline–alkaline water. Gills are main entry organ for CA toxicity shrimp. In this study, low-salinity cultured Litopenaeus vannamei were exposed to 5 mmol/L stress 7 days then recovered explore physiological changes gills under recovery conditions at multiple biological levels. The results showed increased activities antioxidative biochemical indexes (T-AOC, T-SOD, POD) relative expression levels romo1, nrf2, gpx genes, while it decreased sod hsp70 genes. addition, also genes involved endoplasmic reticulum (ER) (bip, ire1, xbp1), immunity (alf, crus, pen-3, lys, propo), apoptosis (casp-3), detoxification metabolism (cyp450 gst), osmotic adjustment (ca, nka-α, nka-β, vatp, nhe, clc, aqp, tip4, ccp). Although some reversed after was relieved, they still could not effectively recover control level. These reveal has a negative impact on homeostasis by inducing oxidation ER interfering immunity, apoptosis, detoxification, adjustment.

Vibriosis is one of the most serious diseases that commonly occurs in aquatic animals, thus, shaping a steady inherited resistance trait organisms has received highest priority aquaculture. Whereas, mechanisms underlying development such are mostly elusive. In this study, we constructed vibriosis-resistant and susceptible families Pacific white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei after four generations artificial selection. Microbiome sequencing indicated can successfully develop colonization against Vibrio infections. This was characterized by microbial community structure with specific enrichment single probiotic species (namely Shewanella algae ), notably, its formation inheritable might be memorized host epigenetic remodeling. Regardless infection status, group genes specifically activated resistant family through disruption complete methylation. Specifically, hypo-methylation hyper-expression related to lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) iron homeostasis provide rich sources carbon (lactate) ions for S . , which directly results reduction load shrimp. Lactate feeding increased survival shrimp, while knockdown LDH gene decreased when infected pathogens. addition, treatment methyltransferase inhibitor 5-azacytidine resulted upregulations some protein processing genes, significant simultaneous Our suggest as information host, played pivotal role vibriosis resistance.
