Banana processing industry generates a large number of by-products mainly constituted by peel that can be good source bioactive polyphenols. Extraction phenolic compounds using optimum extraction conditions enhances the yield and quality desired compounds. Meanwhile, well-chosen optimization procedure has ability to reduce amount time, solvent, temperature needed, which will consequently lower overall process cost. In this study, enzyme-assisted was evaluated for maximum from banana peels three enzymes viscozyme® L, cellulase, pectinase. The were achieved enzyme concentration (0–2%, v/v), time (1–12 hrs), (35–60 °C), solute-liquid ratio (1:5–1:30, w/v) at pH 4.0. responses such as total phenol content (TPC), flavonoid (TFC), DPPH ABTS inhibition activity, α-glucosidase inhibitory activity determined spectrophotometric analysis. Viscozyme® L found more effective compared pectinase, condition obtained with 1.0% concentration, 9 hrs 55 °C temperature, 1:25. values TPC, TFC, ABTS, optimized 25.37 mg GAE/g DM, 13.99 QE/g 81.59%, 88.25%, 74.67% scavenging ability, respectively. Therefore, viscozyme-assisted could promising method utilization valuable ingredients food pharmaceuticals.

Background: The issues related to the treatment of perimenopausal depression (PMD) are side effects antidepressants and hormone replacement therapy. aim this study was assess efficiency safety acupuncture moxibustion in PMD patients. Methods: Databases, namely PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web Science, EMBASE, CNKI, CBM, VIP, WanFang, were reviewed for randomized controlled trials dated between database inception November 22, 2022. primary outcomes efficacy rate Hamilton Depression Scale score. secondary levels follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing estradiol Kupperman Odds ratios (ORs) generated as effect size dichotomous outcomes, while standard mean difference (SMD) ± deviation used continuous outcomes. Matrices developed demonstrate pairwise comparisons regimens each endpoint. Utilizing Review Manager (RevMan) 5.3, Stata 16.0 SPSS 21, data analyzed. Results: In total, 27 studies involving 2269 patients 8 therapeutic measures incorporated into network meta-analysis (NMA). NMA showed that warm (OR = 1.55, 95% CI: 1.00–2.44), electroacupuncture 1.34, 1.00–1.8), abdominal 1.19, 0.73–1.96), common 1.4, 0.9–2.17) more effective than fluoxetine + menopausal PMD. also that, based on score, other 4 acupuncture-related treatments, i.e., (SMD −1.22, −2.34 −0.09), thread embedding −1.31, −2.21 −0.40), −1.33, −2.42 −0.24), −1.46, −2.26 −0.66). cumulative ranking probability (SUCRA) (99.6%) best method. Conclusions: findings may help therapists choose therapy treating furnish reliable evidence guidelines.

Research on the immune system and cancer has led to development of new medicines that enable former attack cells. Drugs specifically target destroy cells are horizon; there also drugs use specific signals stop multiplying. Machine learning algorithms can significantly support increase rate research complicated diseases help find remedies. One area medical study could greatly benefit from machine is exploration genomes discovery best treatment protocols for different subtypes disease. However, developing a drug time-consuming, complicated, dangerous, costly. Traditional production take up 15 years, costing over USD 1 billion. Therefore, computer-aided design (CADD) emerged as powerful promising technology develop quicker, cheaper, more efficient designs. Many technologies methods have been introduced enhance productivity analytical methodologies, they become crucial part many programs; scanning programs, example, ligand screening structural virtual techniques hit detection optimization. In this review, we examined various types computational focusing anticancer drugs. Oxidative stress (OS) is a pathological status that occurs when the body’s balance between oxidants and antioxidant defense systems broken, which can promote development of many diseases. Nrf2, redox-sensitive transcription encoded by NFE2L2, master regulator phase II enzymes cytoprotective genes. In this context, Nrf2/ARE signaling be compelling target against OS-induced Recently, natural regulators like dietary flavones have shown therapeutic potential in various acute chronic diseases such as diabetes, neurodegenerative diseases, ischemia-reperfusion injury, cancer. review, we aim to summarize nrf2-mediated protective effects different conditions. Firstly, retrospected mechanisms how regulate pathway introduced mediator role Nrf2 plays inflammation apoptosis. Then review evidence modulated prevent experimental models. Based on these literature, found could expression below: 1) dissociating binding Keap1 via PKC-mediated phosphorylation P62-mediated autophagic degradation; 2) regulating nuclear translocation kinases AMPK, MAPKs, Fyn; 3) decreasing ubiquitination degradation activating sirt1 PI3K/AKT-mediated GSK3 inhibition; 4) epigenetic alternation demethylation at promoter region histone acetylation. conclusion, targeting promising agents for OS-related disorders. However, there lack investigations human subjects, new drug delivery improve flavones’ treatment efficiency still need developed.
