Abstract Metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) show potential application in many domains, which photochromic MOFs (PMOFs) have received enormous attention. Researchers mainly utilize photoactive ligands to build PMOFs. Recently, the mixed electron donating and accepting strategies also been used construct PMOFs driven by transfer between nonphotochromic moieties. However, interligand competition inhibits formation of Therefore, exploration single‐ligand‐guided assembly is conductive for building Considering existing role pyridyl carboxyl, pyridinecarboxyate derived from fusion carboxyl units may serve as single ligand yield (Figure 1d). In this work, coordination bipyridinedicarboxylate (2,2′‐bipyridine‐4,4′‐dicarboxylic acid, H 2 bpdc; 1,10‐phenanthroline‐2,9‐dicarboxylic pda) LaCl 3 generate two PMOFs, [La(bpdc)(H O)Cl] ( 1 ) [La(pda)(H O) Cl]⋅2H O ). Both complexes feature dinuclear lanthanum blocks with differences connecting number likers, has (4,8)‐connected topology exhibits sql topology. Their structural result diversities photoresponsive functionalities. Compared reported built ligands, study provides new available categories generating tuning structure properties via substitution external photostimulus.

Delayed luminescence (DF), including phosphorescence and thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF), circularly polarized (CPL) exhibit common broad application prospects in optoelectronic displays, biological imaging, encryption. Thus, the combination of is attracting increasing attention. The encapsulation guest emitters various host matrices to form host-guest systems has been demonstrated be an appealing strategy further enhance and/or modulate their luminescence. Compared with conventional liquid crystals, polymers, supramolecular matrices, porous crystalline frameworks (PCFs) metal-organic (MOFs), covalent-organic (COFs), zeolites hydrogen-bonded organic (HOFs) can not only overcome shortcomings such as flexibility disorder but also achieve ordered guests long-term stability chiral structures, providing new promising platforms for development DF CPL.
