Accumulating evidence implicates metabolites produced by gut microbes as crucial mediators of diet-induced host-microbial cross-talk. Here, we review emerging data suggesting that microbial tryptophan catabolites resulting from proteolysis are influencing host health. These suggested to activate the immune system through binding aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR), enhance intestinal epithelial barrier, stimulate gastrointestinal motility, well secretion hormones, exert anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidative or toxic effects in systemic circulation, and putatively modulate composition. Tryptophan thus affect various physiological processes may contribute homeostasis health disease.

Background: The glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) is a multifaceted hormone with broad pharmacological potential.Among the numerous metabolic effects of GLP-1 are glucose-dependent stimulation insulin secretion, decrease gastric emptying, inhibition food intake, increase natriuresis and diuresis, modulation rodent b-cell proliferation.GLP-1 also has cardio-and neuroprotective effects, decreases inflammation apoptosis, implications for learning memory, reward behavior, palatability.Biochemically modified enhanced potency sustained action, receptor agonists successfully in clinical use treatment type-2 diabetes, several GLP-1-based pharmacotherapies evaluation obesity.Scope review: In this review, we provide detailed overview on nature its pharmacology discuss therapeutic various diseases.Major conclusions: Since discovery, emerged as pleiotropic myriad functions that go well beyond classical identification an incretin hormone. The beneficial render interesting candidate development to treat obesity, neurodegenerative disorders

The microbiome has received increasing attention over the last 15 years. Although gut microbes have been explored for several decades, investigations of role microorganisms that reside in human attracted much beyond classical infectious diseases. Metabolic abnormalities lead to the dysfunction of metabolic pathways and metabolite accumulation or deficiency which is well-recognized hallmarks diseases. Metabolite signatures that have close proximity subject's phenotypic informative dimension, are useful for predicting diagnosis prognosis diseases as well monitoring treatments. The lack early biomarkers could poor serious outcomes. Therefore, noninvasive methods with high specificity selectivity desperately needed. Small molecule metabolites-based metabolomics has become a specialized tool biomarker pathway analysis, revealing possible mechanisms human various deciphering therapeutic potentials. It help identify functional related variation delineate biochemical changes indicators pathological damage prior disease development. Recently, scientists established large number profiles reveal underlying networks target exploration in biomedicine. This review summarized analysis on potential value small-molecule candidate metabolites clinical events, may better diagnosis, prognosis, drug screening treatment. We also discuss challenges need be addressed fuel next wave breakthroughs.
