The flavonoid compound chinonin is one of the main active components Rhizoma anemarrhena with multiple activities, including anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, protection mitochondrial function regulation immunity. In this paper, we reviewed recent research progress on protective effect brain injury in neurological diseases. "Chinonin" OR "Mangiferin" AND "Nervous system diseases" "Neuroprotection" was used as terms for search PumMed. After discarding duplicated irrelevant articles, a total 23 articles relevant to published between 2012 2023 were identified our study.

Each year, the number of cases strokes and deaths due to this is increasing around world. This could be work stress, lifestyles, unhealthy food habits, several other reasons. Currently, there are traditional methods like thrombolysis mechanical thrombectomy for managing strokes. The current approach has limitations, delayed diagnosis, limited therapeutic delivery, risks secondary injuries. So, a need some effective reliable management strokes, which help in early diagnosis followed by treatment Nanotechnology played an immense role recently, it emerged as transformative solution offering innovative diagnostic tools strategies. Nanoparticles (NPs) belonging classes, including metallic (metallic metal oxide), organic (lipids, liposome), carbon, can cross blood–brain barrier may exhibit potential various Moreover, these NPs have exhibited promise improving imaging specificity delivery precise drug real-time monitoring efficacy. Nanomaterials cerium oxide (CeO2) liposome-encapsulated agents neuroprotective properties that reduce oxidative stress promote neuroregeneration. In present article, authors emphasized significant advancements nanomedicine stroke, NPs-based systems, neuroregenerative therapies, multimodal advancements.

Exploring the intricate pathogenesis of Vascular Dementia (VD), there is a noted absence potent treatments available in current medical landscape. A new brain-protective medication developed China, Edaravone dexboeol (EDB), has shown promise due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, albeit with need for additional research elucidate role mechanisms VD contexts. In setup, model was established utilizing Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats, subjected permanent bilateral typical carotid artery occlusion (2VO). Behavioral assessment rats conducted using Bederson test pole climbing test, while cognitive abilities, particularly learning memory, were evaluated via novel object recognition Morris water maze test. Ensuing, levels malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD), IL-1β, IL-6, IL-4, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) determined through Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). Synaptic plasticity-related proteins, synaptophysin (SYP), post-synaptic density protein 95 (PSD-95), N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor proteins (NR1, NR2A, NR2B) investigated Western blotting technique. The findings imply that EDB potential ameliorate deficiencies, attributed VD, by mitigating oxidative stress, dampening inflammatory responses, modulating NMDA signaling pathway, furnishing perspectives into EDB's mechanism proposing avenues therapeutic strategies managing VD.

Chronic cerebral hypoperfusion (CCH) is a critical pathophysiological mechanism underlying small vessel disease (CSVD). Accumulating evidence have demonstrated that resident pericytes and deposit extracellular matrix (ECM) play key role in mediating fibrosis hypoxic changes.
