Background and Aim: The Indonesian red claw crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus) represents a significant aquaculture commodity with substantial economic importance; however, disease outbreaks, particularly tail ulceration caused by Aeromonas hydrophila, pose challenges to sustainable production. This study evaluated the efficacy of fermented palm kernel meal (FPKM), rich in mannan oligosaccharides, as prebiotic additive enhance non-specific immune responses C. quadricarinatus. Materials Methods: A total 120 (mean weight 10.3 ± 0.15 g length 7.53 0.26 cm) were allocated completely randomized design comprising four dietary treatments: control group without FPKM probiotics three experimental groups receiving diets supplemented at concentrations 40, 80, g/kg along probiotics. Hemolymph samples collected baseline (day 0) on days 3, 5, 7, 14 post-treatment. Non-specific included hemocyte count (THC), differential (DHC), phagocytosis activity (PA), index (PI), phenol oxidase (PO) activity, superoxide dismutase (SOD) plasma protein (TPP), gene expression (lipopolysaccharide β-1,3-glucan-binding [LGBP], lectin). Results: inclusion significantly increased THC, peak enhancement observed day 7 highest concentration (120 g/kg). DHC remained stable across treatments. Phagocytic parameters, including PA PI, showed improvements (74.5 12.5% 2.8 0.41, respectively) treatment. PO SOD activities 5 14, respectively, optimal inclusion. TPP levels did not exhibit variation among Molecular analyses revealed marked upregulation immune-related genes, notably lectin LGBP, detected 40 group. Conclusion: Supplementing substantially improved Optimal was generally achieved inclusion, although molecular evident lower concentrations. findings underscore potential natural sustainably immunity, thereby reducing dependency antibiotics contributing eco-friendly practices. The ability of edible mushrooms to modulate the intestinal microbiota is a topic interest. This study shows that digested Pleurotus djamor powder (MUS) exhibits prebiotic effects during an in vitro colonic fermentation. Phenolic compounds, including epicatechin (3.03 ± 1.54 mg/L), gallic acid (2.71 and quercetin 3-glucoside (2.40 were found P. djamor. MUS significantly increased relative abundance Lactobacillus spp./Enterococcus spp. (1.12% – 4.83%), Bifidobacterium (0.59% 1.85%), Ruminococcus albus/R. flavefaciens (0.37% 1.88%), reduced Clostridium histolyticum (2.89% 1.22%) 48 enhanced lactic short-chain fatty production decreased pH levels. 1H NMR analysis revealed presence essential amino acids, branched-chain other compounds benefit human health. results indicate on microbiota.

Despite the high global production of beetroot (Beta vulgaris L.), its peel is often discarded. Transforming into flour can reduce waste, improve food security, and decrease environmental pollution. However, large-scale feasibility depends on understanding drying kinetics optimal storage conditions. This study aimed to investigate effects different temperatures in convective whole evaluate influence laminated flexible plastic packaging stability over two months. Drying were analyzed using five models, with Page Logarithm models showing best fit (R2 > 0.99). Def values (1.27 × 10−9 2.04 m2 s−1) increased rising while time was reduced (from 820 400 min), indicating efficient diffusion. The activation energy 29.34 KJ mol−1, comparable other plant matrices. moisture ash concentration flour. showed a good water adsorption capacity low cohesiveness, making it marketable. Laminated more effective controlling physicochemical parameters, reducing hygroscopicity, maintaining quality 60 days. In summary, model predict effectively, control stability.
