As organizations intensify their digital transformation (DX) initiatives to navigate the evolving landscape, metaverses emerge as pivotal technology, enhancing collaborative and experiential interactions. Despite growing integration, a profound understanding of how metaverse utilization influences employee behavior toward DX – particularly in digitalization resistance remains underexplored. Building theoretical framework based on Technology Acceptance Model Uses Gratifications Theory, we dissect potential interplay between user experiences within metaverses, individual value perceptions, organizational support shaping digitalization. Analyzing data from 309 employees actively using platforms for vocational interactions, found that informativeness social interaction significantly enhance perceived virtual platforms. This enhancement correlates strongly with reduced digitalization, confirming critical role tailored fostering technology acceptance.
