Emerging infectious diseases are caused by unpredictable viruses with the dangerous potential to trigger global pandemics. These typically initiate infection utilizing anionic structures of host cell surface receptors gain entry. Lactoferrin (Lf) is a multifunctional glycoprotein multiple properties such as antiviral, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities. Due its cationic structure, Lf naturally interacts certain receptors, heparan sulfate proteoglycans, well viral particles other that targeted viruses. Therefore, may interfere virus-host interactions acting receptor competitor for Herein we summarize studies in which this competition was investigated SARS-CoV-2, Zika, Dengue, Hepatitis Influenza vitro . have demonstrated not only Lf’s competitive properties, but also intracellular impact on cells, enhancing survival reducing efficiency inhibiting enzymes. In addition, immunomodulatory effect highlighted, it can influence activity specific immune cells regulate cytokine release, thereby host’s response infections. Collectively, these promote promising candidate research diseases.

Due to bleomycin's cytotoxic characteristics, which include cardiotoxicity, this investigation looked at the effectiveness of costus ethanolic extract in reducing cardiotoxicity male rats receiving bleomycin therapy. Forty adult (160-200 g) were evenly allocated into four groups: group (1) included normal serving as control; (2) administered 200 mg/kg (CEE) orally for 6 weeks; (3) consisted (15 twice weekly, ip) and (4) involved treated with CEE (200 mg/kg/day) weeks following intoxication. The results indicated that significantly reversed cardiological deteriorations brought on by bleomycin; was demonstrated a considerable increase cardiac SOD, GPx, GSH, CAT, along substantial decrease MDA, NO, DNA fragmentation. Also, serum, LDH, CK-MB, CK- total, TNF-α, IL-4, IL-6 IL-10, IL-1β, triglycerides, cholesterol, LDL reduced, while CD4 levels increased, HDL declined significantly. histological immunohistochemical analyses revealed notable regeneration. In conclusion, CEE's anti-cardiotoxic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant properties prove its ability be cardio-protective supplement. This may mediated active constituents' radical scavenging properties, particularly high phenolic content.

Abstract The ethanolic extract of Coleus forskohlii Briq leaves was employed in the green synthesis zinc nanoparticles (Zn-NPs) by an immediate, one-step, and cost-effective method present study. Zn-NPs were coated with purified bovine lactoferrin (LF) characterized through different instrumental analysis. biosynthesized white color revealing oval to spherical-shaped particles average size 77 ± 5.50 nm, whereas LF-coated (LF-Zn-NPs) revealed a larger up 98 6.40 nm. LF-Zn-NPs negatively charged surfaces zeta-potentials – 20.25 0.35 44.3 3.25 mV, respectively. Interestingly, showed potent vitro retardation for SARS-CoV-2 entry host cells binding ACE2-receptor spike protein receptor domain at IC 50 values 59.66 μg/mL, Additionally, results indicated ability inhibit replication interfering RNA-dependent RNA polymerase “RdRp” activity 49.23 μg/mL. In vivo, displayed protective therapeutic against induced pulmonary fibrosis Bleomycin-treated male albino rats owing its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, significant reduction CRP, LDH, ferritin, D-dimer levels. obtained findings offer promising route as candidates COVID-19.

After 24 h irradiation, these moderate effectiveness, confirming improved active layers (by activating TiO2). Unfortunately, after 48 decreased, time should not be too long. Comparing coating it has mentioned (24 h) coatings, which were before irradiation. However, decreased UV aging. none those analyzed shorter.
