Carbon dot nanoparticles (CNPs) were synthesized from the peels of showy Asian grapes (Medinilla speciosa) using microwave irradiation for free radical scavenging. The optimal emission and absorption intensities achieved with a 50-min duration, at wavelengths 430 nm 267 nm, respectively. XRD analysis revealed characteristic peaks angles 26.37° 29.63°. FTIR indicated that antioxidant potential is attributed to hydroxyl carboxyl groups on CNPs’ surface. TEM images showed diameters ranging 2 8 nm. CNPs exhibited 73.82% activity 5 mg/mL, an IC 50 value 6.89 ppm, indicating strong activity. Additionally, demonstrated good storage stability, suggesting applications in food supplements biomedical materials.
