Background Abuse experiences in adolescents are associated with the risk of depression and suicide. Thus, there is an urgent need to develop prevention intervention measures for clinicians, policymakers, researchers. Methods Network analysis method was used analyze cross-sectional data Chinese this study. The Patient Health Questionnaire Adolescents (PHQ-A) assessing depression, which item 9 PHQ-A assess suicide ideation, International Society Prevention Child Neglect (ISPCAN) Screening Tool-Children’s Home Version (ICAST-CH) abuse. Results prevalence suicidal ideation among 21.46% (95% CI, 20.79–22.16%). moderate or severe 16.76%, violence exposure, psychological victimization, neglect, physical victimization 33.5%, 59.5%, 28.37%, 31.51% past years, respectively. results showed that most central nodes network abuse were “unimportant,” “not cared,” “pushed.” bridge “suicidal ideation” “unimportant.” “sadness,” “failure,” “unimportant” explained largest proportion variance our network. Differences found structure both networks between without ideation. Limitations self-reporting–based surveys community sample groups limit inference causality generalization results. Conclusion This study shows also explains a part effect should be considered experience. Future needed confirm its role clinical intervention.

Given that death by suicide continues to rank among the top three causes of during adolescence, new psychological models may contribute critical insight towards understanding complex interactions between risk and protective factors in suicidal behaviour. The main objective this study was analyse network structure behaviour putative school-aged adolescents.Stratified random cluster sampling performed. final sample comprised 1790 students (53.7% female, M = 15.7 years, SD 1.26). Instruments were administered assess behaviour, emotional behavioural difficulties, prosocial subjective well-being, self-esteem, depressive symptomatology, academic performance, socio-economic status, school engagement, bullying, cyberbullying.In estimated network, node with highest strength expected influence value bullying. Suicidal positively connected symptoms depression problems. In addition, negatively self-esteem personal well-being. results stability analysis indicated accurately estimated.Suicidal can be conceptualised as a dynamic, system cognitive, emotional, affective characteristics. Background Young adults in Hong Kong are subject to elevated psychological distress given the societal stressors such as civil unrest and COVID-19 pandemic suicide is a leading cause of death among them. The present study aimed evaluate psychometric properties measurement invariance 4-item Patient Health Questionnaire-4 (PHQ-4) brief measure its associations with meaning life suicidal ideation (SI) young adults. Confirmatory factor analysis was conducted examine factorial validity, reliability, MLQ-SF across gender, age, subgroups. Multigroup structural equation model evaluated compared direct indirect effects latent MIL on SI via groups. Results Both supported 1-factor good composite reliability (Ω 0.80–0.86) strong loadings (λ 0.65–0.88). factors showed scalar significant negative ( αβ −0.196, 95% CI −0.254 −0.144) PHQ-4. stronger mediating role between group (Δ −0.146, −0.252 −0.049) than non-distress group. Higher predicted higher likelihoods help-seeking (Odds ratios 1.46, 1.14–1.88).
