Background Mobile phones are becoming indispensable for life and have changed various aspects of people's lives. The psychological impacts excessive mobile phone use emerged as an impressive problem among college students. However, little is known about the associations addiction with suicide ideation attempt. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted students from six universities in 2022. We collected socio-demographic characteristics, ideation, attempt, psychosocial factors (depressive symptoms, social support, sleep quality), health-related characteristics (smoking, drinking, body mass index). ascertained by Phone Addiction Tendency Scale (MPATS). attempt were estimated using binary logistic regression restricted cubic splines regression.
