Urban pluvial floods or rainfall-driven are often misrepresented as nuisance and tend to receive limited attention. In India, recent urban have affected population displacement, damaged infrastructure, impacted means of livelihood. this paper, we describe the current state flood research in focusing on how scholarly community approaches causes, impacts, mitigation strategies settings. This systematic literature review academic databases SCOPUS, Web Science, Science Direct, Google Scholar asks: 1) context do define flooding? 2) What factors cause flooding India? 3) impacts and4) should be adopted cope with floods? Our close 62 articles finds that India attributed extreme rainfall (n = 51), development 44), topography 34), drainage 33), waste 13), management 11), soil type 7). The frequent urban floods have seriously affected the regional sustainable development in recent years. It is significant to understand characteristics of flood risk and reasonably predict under different land use scenarios. This study used random forest multi-criteria decision analysis models assess spatiotemporal Zhengzhou City, China, from 2005 2020, proposed a robust method coupling Bayesian network patch-generating simulation future probability. We found that City presented an upward trend its spatial pattern was "high middle low surrounding areas". In addition, patterns scenario would be more conducive reducing risk. Our results can provide theoretical support for scientifically optimizing improve management.

Climate change and flooding are related issues on the Earth's surface, while numerous lowland areas, especially delta regions, mostly affected by flood hazards. Hence, susceptibility mapping simulation of future effect areas essential for hazard management awareness. The river floodplain Ganga River in Bihar state most due to high annual floods. Floods cause huge economic losses environmental degradation, such as deforestation, riverbank erosion, water quality loss. Thus, vulnerability measurement is a serious concern this area, which involves building proper awareness mitigation strategies achieve sustainable development goals. Remote Sensing (RS) widely applied hydrological issues. statistical approaches, Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), Frequency Ratio (FR), Fuzzy-AHP (FAHP) algorithms, were analysis selected plain state. suitable three different approaches 9604.21 km2 9712.48 9598.28 channel not area. flooded maps indicated lands using Google Earth Engine (GEE) years 2977.69 (2020), 10481.63 (2021), 1103.89 (2022), respectively. results current study indicate that area essentially need attention adaptation reduction addition socio-economic variability monsoon regions. Abstract Floods are catastrophic natural disasters that cause a substantial toll on human lives, infrastructure, and the economy. Structural non-structural measures developed for planning flood mitigation strategies. Flood inundation mapping is valuable information decision-makers authorities to develop strategies resource allocation. This study uses HEC-RAS 2D model in Krishna River Basin. Digital elevation models (DEMs) of 12.5 30 m resolutions were used map. The also investigated effect change upstream boundary data inundated area. simulated results with resolution DEM found good agreement validation conform areas available reports. proves capabilities helps experts better management practices.
