The use of bisphenol A (BPA), a substance very high concern, is proposed to be banned in food contact materials (FCMs) the European Union. To prevent regrettable substitution BPA by alternatives with similar or unknown hazardous properties, it importance gain relevant toxicological information on potential alternative substances and monitor them adequately. Tire wear particles (TWP) have become the major microplastic pollution in China. Road runoff containing TWP leachate can decrease eye size and even induced mortality aquatic organisms. However, toxic mechanism of road (RP) on organisms is still unclear. In this study, zebrafish embryos were exposed to or RP for 5 days at both environmental relevant high concentrations. The adverse outcome pathways (AOPs) screened from individual molecular levels. morphological behavioral analysis demonstrated that exposure mainly impaired development larvae inhibited larval swim behavior phototactic response, which are outcomes. phototransduction modulated by retina was significantly down-regulated through transcriptomics metabolomics analysis. histopathological showed decreased thickness retinal outer nuclear layer (ONL) pigmented epithelium (RPE) after caused photoreceptor cells. Moreover, expression NR2E3 TPO genes concentration-dependent down-regulation exposure. inhibition cell proliferation identified as main reason eye. This first time, uncovered underlying eyes.

Metal–organic framework nanoparticles (MOF NPs) have received much attention for their potential use in nanopesticides. However, little is known about the health and environmental risks associated with these materials. In this study, toxicological responses of zebrafish exposed to five MOF NPs short long periods time were evaluated. The acute toxicity results showed that embryos adult was order Cu-MOF > ZIF-90 ZIF-8 Fe-MOF Zr-MOF. Histopathological analysis revealed ZIF-8, ZIF-90, caused liver swelling vacuolization zebrafish. cellular ultrastructure severely damaged mitochondrial structure intestinal epithelial cells cells. 16S rDNA sequencing data all significantly altered dominant microorganisms intestine. microbial markers inflammation, Proteobacteria (Aeromonas, Plesiomonas, Legionella), increased Fe-MOF, Zr-MOF, treatment groups. Metabolomics indicated levels inflammatory promoting factors (Leukotriene E4, 20-hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid) arachidonic acid metabolism decreased, suppressing (8,9-epoxyeicosatrienoic increased. Metabolites related oxidative stress, such as glutamine, pyridoxamine, l-glutamic vitamin B6 other signaling pathways, reduced. Overall, suggest different had widely varying zebrafish, further should be paid real environment.

Flame retardants (FRs) are chemical substances used to inhibit the spread of fire in numerous industrial applications, and their abundance modern manufactured products indoor outdoor environment leads extensive direct food chain exposure humans. Although once considered relatively non-toxic, FRs demonstrated by recent literature have disruptive effects on many biological processes, including signaling pathways, genome stability, reproduction, immune system function. This review provides a summary research investigating impact major groups FRs, halogenated organophosphorus animals humans vitro and/or vivo. We put focus those studies that explained or referenced modes FR action at level cells, tissues organs. Since highly hydrophobic chemicals, biophysical biochemical usually involve lipophilic interactions, e.g. with membranes elements pathways. present selected toxicological information about these molecular actions show how they can lead damaging membrane integrity, DNA compromising its repair, changing gene expression, cell cycle as well accelerating death. Moreover, we indicate this translates deleterious bioactivity physiological level, disruption hormonal action, dysregulation metabolism, adverse male female reproduction alteration normal pattern immunity. Abstract Background The outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) derived from Porphyromonas gingivalis ( P. ) have long been acknowledged for their crucial role in the initiation of periodontitis. However, implications OMVs context cardiovascular disease (CVD) remain incompletely understood. This study aimed to clarify both impact and underlying mechanisms through which P . contribute propagation distal inflammation trauma. Methods In this study, various concentrations (0, 1.25, 2.5, 4.5 µg/µL) were microinjected into common cardinal vein zebrafish larvae at 48 h post-fertilization (hpf) assess changes injury inflammatory response. Zebrafish PBS 2.5 µg/µL injection cohorts harvested 30 post-injection (hpi) transcriptional analysis. Real-time quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) was employed evaluate relative gene expression. Results These findings demonstrated that induced pericardial enlargement larvae, caused vascular damage, increased neutrophil counts, activated pathways. Transcriptomic analysis further revealed involvement immune response extracellular matrix (ECM)-receptor interaction signaling pathway process. Conclusion illuminated potential CVD. It accentuated emphasizes need research comprehensively grasp connection between periodontitis

ABSTRACT Tetrachlorobisphenol A (TCBPA) is a kind of fire retardant extensively used in our life, but it can accumulate organisms and potentially have toxic effects. Transferrin (TF) glycoprotein predominantly present the blood plasma, serving as an essential mediator for transportation iron other small molecules. In study, various techniques including multi‐spectroscopic molecular docking were employed to examine interaction between TCBPA TF. The TF–TCBPA complex was formed with binding constant ( K ) 2.181 ± 0.035 × 10 4 M −1 at 298 K. Δ H S all negative, which means dominant driving forces van der Waals H‐bonds. secondary structure TF changed by TCBPA, resulting decline α‐helix structure, corresponding increase β‐sheet structure. revealed that positioned within pocket TF, engaged interactions some amino acid residues through different forces. Importantly, Tyr426/Asp392/His585 implies interferes ions vivo. All above results indicated adverse effects on activity should be more attention.
