MicroRNAs (miRNAs), a class of small non-coding RNA molecules, are responsible for silencing and post-transcriptional regulation gene expression. They can mediate fine-tuned crosstalk among coding molecules sharing miRNA response elements (MREs). In suitable environment, both be targeted by the same miRNAs indirectly regulate each other competing them. These RNAs, otherwise known as endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs), lead to an additional regulatory layer, where find new significance. The miRNA-mediated interplay different types has been observed in many contexts. analyses ceRNA networks cancer pathologies, well physiological conditions, provide opportunities interpreting omics data field personalized medicine. development novel computational tools, providing putative predictions interactions, is rapidly growing interest. this review, I discuss present current knowledge mechanism its implications broad spectrum such cardiovascular or autoimmune diseases, cancers neurodegenerative disorders.

Cancer is one of the most frequently diagnosed malignant diseases worldwide, posing a serious, long-term threat to patients’ health and life. Systemic chemotherapy remains first-line therapeutic approach for recurrent or metastatic cancer patients after surgery, with potential effectively extend patient survival. However, development drug resistance seriously limits clinical efficiency ultimately results in treatment failure death. A large number studies have shown that non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs), particularly microRNAs, long RNAs, circular are widely involved regulation resistance. Their dysregulation contributes by modulating expression specific target genes cellular apoptosis, autophagy, efflux, epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT), stem cells (CSCs). Moreover, some ncRNAs also possess great as efficient, biomarkers diagnosis prognosis well targets patients. In this review, we summarize recent findings on emerging role underlying mechanisms focus their applications treatment. This information will be benefit early prognostic assessments ncRNA-based strategies

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a progressive age-related neurodegenerative whose annual incidence increasing as populations continue to age. Although its pathogenesis has not been fully elucidated, oxidative stress shown play an important role in promoting the occurrence and development of disease. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs), which are more than 200 nucleotides length, also involved PD at transcriptional level via epigenetic regulation, or post-transcriptional by participating physiological processes, including aggregation α-synuclein, mitochondrial dysfunction, stress, calcium stabilization, neuroinflammation. LncRNAs correlated during processes: affects expression multiple lncRNAs, while lncRNAs regulate many genes responses. Oxidative affect other processes associated with neurodegeneration, dysfunction increased neuroinflammation that lead neuronal death. Therefore, modulating levels specific may alleviate pathological damage have neuroprotective effects. This review discusses general mechanisms mechanism underlying PD, teases out through pathogenesis, well identifies possible lncRNAs. Reviewing published studies will help us further understand process identify potential therapeutic strategies for PD.
