Abstract Background Individuals on the autism spectrum have been long described to process sensory information differently than neurotypical individuals. While much effort has leveraged towards characterizing and investigating neurobiology underlying differences of autism, there a notable lack consistency in terms being used describe nature those differences. Misophonia is a sound sensitivity disorder characterized by strong aversion to specific sounds (e.g., chewing). Here we present the Sussex Scale for Adults ( SMS-Adult), within an online open-access portal, with automated scoring and results that can be shared ethically users professionals.
