Protein posttranslational modifications (PTMs) refer to the breaking or generation of covalent bonds on backbones amino acid side chains proteins and expand diversity proteins, which provides basis for emergence organismal complexity. To date, more than 650 types protein modifications, such as most well-known phosphorylation, ubiquitination, glycosylation, methylation, SUMOylation, short-chain long-chain acylation redox irreversible have been described, inventory is still increasing. By changing conformation, localization, activity, stability, charges, interactions with other biomolecules, PTMs ultimately alter phenotypes biological processes cells. The homeostasis important human health. Abnormal may cause changes in properties loss functions, are closely related occurrence development various diseases. In this review, we systematically introduce characteristics, regulatory mechanisms, functions health addition, therapeutic prospects diseases by targeting associated enzymes also summarized. Diabetic retinopathy is the retinal disease associated with hyperglycemia in patients who suffer from type 1 or 2 diabetes. It includes maculopathy, involving central retina and characterized by ischemia and/or edema, peripheral that progresses to a proliferative stage neovascularization. Approximately 10% of global population estimated diabetes, around one 5 these individuals have diabetic retinopathy. One major effects oxidative stress, pathological state which elevated production reactive oxygen species damages tissues, cells, macromolecules. The relatively prone stress due its high metabolic activity. This review provides summary role retinopathy, including description cell players molecular mechanisms. discusses processes, formation advanced glycation end-products, impact memory, involvements non-coding RNA. opportunities for therapeutic blockade are also considered.

Diabetic retinopathy (DR), a leading cause of vision impairment worldwide, is characterized by progressive damage to the retina due prolonged hyperglycemia. Despite advances in treatment, current interventions largely target late-stage vascular complications, leaving underlying neurodegenerative processes insufficiently addressed. This article explores crucial role neuronal survival, axonal growth, and synaptic plasticity neuroprotective potential Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) as therapeutic strategy for enhancing retinal resilience DR. Furthermore, it discusses innovative delivery methods BDNF, such gene therapy nanocarriers, which may overcome challenges achieving sustained targeted levels retina, focusing on early intervention preserve function prevent loss.

ABSTRACT In order to cure diabetes and atherosclerosis, we have investigated iron nanoparticles that were created using green chemistry principles an extract from Trifolium repens leaves. Characterization of the green‐synthesized was carried out FT‐IR, XRD, FE‐SEM, UV–Vis, EDX, TEM. The spherical form nanoparticles, which range in size 20 50 nm, is confirmed by results morphological examinations. vivo study, administered intragastrically diabetic rats. demonstrate capability lower increased levels GGT, ALT, AST, ALP enzymes blood glucose. glucose untreated animals almost 500% ( p ≤ 0.05). When streptozotocin‐diabetic rats given at both dose levels, their fasting sugar decreased 0.05), similar what happened when glibenclamide administered. Following treatment with a marked decrease liver its subcompartments' volume observed. another part design, triglycerides, total cholesterol, LDL, HDL assessed Wistar hypercholesterolemic diet‐induced atherosclerosis. findings showed shielded vessel wall against early atherosclerotic alterations. sham group had vascular thickness smooth muscle cell proliferation, but groups treated did not exhibit pathological This study highlights anti‐diabetic anti‐atherosclerotic properties suggesting potential as supplementary measure prevent atherosclerosis gestational mellitus while simultaneously providing benefits for protection.

Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common clinical syndrome characterized by rapid deterioration in renal function, manifested significant increase creatinine and sharp decrease urine output. The incidence of morbidity mortality associated with AKI on the rise, most patients progressing to chronic disease or end-stage disease. Treatment options for remain limited. Circular RNA (circRNA) wide diverse class non-coding RNAs that are present variety organisms involved gene expression regulation. Studies have shown circRNA acts as competing RNA, occurrence development, has potential diagnostic prognostic marker. CircRNA regulation important biological processes, including apoptosis, oxidative stress, inflammation. This study reviews current status progress research context AKI.

The transgenerational inheritance of phenotype induced by environmental factors is a new focus in epigenetic research. In this study, Drosophila melanogaster (F0) was cultured the medium containing cadmium (Cd, 4.5 mg/kg) from eggs to adults, and offspring (F1-F4) were continuously kept standard (without cadmium). analysis showed that developmental defects on wings apoptosis wing disc cells (F0). transmitted for at least four generations even without Cd afterwards. And effect mRNA expression development related genes (shg, omb, F-actin, Mekk1) can be maintained two or three generations. More importantly, under stress, post-translational modification (PTM) histones H3K4me3 third instar larvae ovaries testes adult flies increased significantly, while levels H3K9me3 H3K27me3 decreased significantly. histone methylation (dSet-1, ash1, Lsd1) significantly these changes one testes. These results suggest phenotypic caused inherited offspring, may regulation methylation. Therefore, adaptability should considered when evaluating toxicity risk cadmium.
