Abstract Objective. We sought to investigate the mechanism of visceral hypersensitivity improvement Shugan Jiangni Hewei Granules (SJHG) treatment non-erosive reflux disease (NERD) and provide an experimental basis for its clinical application. Methods. Fifty healthy male Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were divided into 5 groups, with 10 in each group, including normal group (healthy rats), model (model without any treatment), SJHG Omeprazole k252a treated 100μmol/kg NGF/TrkA pathway inhibitor). The esophageal mucosa synaptic vesicles spinal cord observed by EMT, NGF, TrkA, PSD95, GAP43 proteins expression detected western blot, GluA1 protein was immunohistochemistry among PSD95 immunofluorescence. Results. In intercellular spaces epithelia widened, increased compared group. NGF amd TrkA significantly (P<0.01), After or k252a, decreased rats. (P<0.01). GAP43, proeins higher than that group.(P<0.01). Compared (P<0.05), but no significant difference CREB mRNA expression. The content low. According integrated optical density (IOD), both signifcantly Conclusions. can ameliorate decrease central mental stress disease, which is partially due regulation signaling pathways. Psychological factor also important cause hypersensitivity. These findings provided a new target Traditional Chinese medicine NERD improve viscera.

The Mediterranean diet (MED), a dietary pattern rich in fruits and vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, fish, olive oil, has anti-oxidative anti-inflammatory effects. Although some data suggest that MED adherence is associated with decreased manifestation of depressive symptoms, it remains necessary to further analyze this apparent non-linear association as well the influence different factors on relationship between depression. Here, we investigated associations alternate (aMED) score symptom via multivariate logistic regression, weighted generalized additive (GAM) two-step linear regression models, analyzing from 2005-2018 National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). most important factor relevant aMED contributed prevalence was assessed using random forest. Furthermore, examined whether differs by age, race, sex, socioeconomic variables, lifestyle- health-related chronic medical conditions, subgroup analyses. Neferine (Nef) might possess anti-depressive properties; however, its therapeutic effects are yet to be elucidated. Therefore, in this study, we aimed explore the anti-depressant property of Nef using a mouse model chronic stress-induced depression. Fifteen depression-prone mice were randomly selected and divided into three groups, namely, model, Nef, fluoxetine (Flu) groups. We observed that tail suspension forced swimming tests, Flu treatments significantly decreased immobility time depressed mice, increased their sucrose preference indices. Moreover, both induced significant increases levels neurotransmitters, including dopamine (DA), serotonin (5-HT), norepinephrine (NE), also reduced pathological damage hippocampus mice. Incidentally, Illumina MiSeq sequencing analysis demonstrated relative abundance Lactobacillus intestinal microbiota was restored after Nef/Flu treatment. colonic positively correlated with DA, 5-HT, NE In conclusion, improved monoamine neurotransmitter secretion modulated flora structure, particularly . Hence, it showed considerable potential, prospective agent.

Abstract Background Depression is a neuropsychiatric disease with high disability rate and mainly caused by the chronic stress or genetic factors. There increasing evidence that microRNAs (miRNAs) play critical role in pathogenesis of depression. However, underlying molecular mechanism for pathophysiology depression miRNA remains entirely unclear so far. Methods We first established social defeat (CSDS) mice model depression, depression-like behaviors were evaluated series behavioral tests. Next, we detected several abundantly expressive miRNAs suggested previous reports to be involved found miR-182-5p was selected as candidate analysis hippocampus. Then western blotting immunofluorescence used together examine whether adeno-associated virus (AAV)-siR-182-5p treatment alleviated stress–induced decrease hippocampal Akt/GSK3β/cAMP-response element binding protein (CREB) signaling pathway increase neurogenesis impairment neuroinflammation. Furthermore, CREB inhibitor adopted if blockade Akt/GSK3β/CREB abolished antidepressant actions AAV-siR-182-5p mice. Results Knockdown impaired CSDS-induced Intriguingly, usage agomiR-182-5p produced significant increases immobility times aggravated neuronal damage More importantly, it 666-15 blocked reversal effects on depressive-like testing within hippocampus Conclusions These findings indicated miR-182-5p/Akt/GSK3β/CREB participated might give more opportunities new drug developments based target clinic.

Hormonal imbalance causes depressive behaviours in chronic mental disorders. The use of natural products to relieve symptoms is getting attention due its minimal side effects and multiple health benefits. present study aims test the hypothesis that Camellia nitidissima Chi leave extract (CNC) could have antidepressant whose underlying mechanisms be related promote hippocampal neurogenesis. Firstly, we conducted quality control identified 17 active compounds CNC extract. Then, performed a series behaviour tests evaluate corticosterone (CORT)-induced mouse model. significantly ameliorated CORT-induced behaviours, were similar sertraline. Depression is a common psychiatric disorder that belongs to the category of "Depression Syndrome" in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), and its etiology pathogenesis are complex unclear. It characterized by high prevalence, disability rate, recurrence which seriously affect human health, treatment has become research hotspot worldwide. At present, antidepressants commonly used clinic mainly Western (WM), but there problems such as frequent side effects poor efficacy. Studies have found use TCM prescriptions depression can achieve same effect WM; when combined with WM, efficacy be enhanced while adverse WM reduced. Pharmacological studies related (TCMPs) focused on neurobiochemical system, gut microbes, energy metabolism mitochondria. No one yet reviewed pharmacological mechanism TCMPs for depression. So, this paper reviews from perspective TCMPs, introduces progress classical their antidepressant mechanism. This article aims promote application provide new therapeutic idea clinical
