Abstract Background Although numerous psychological determinants of sports success have been identified in the scientific literature, research on contribution mindfulness and interoceptive awareness to achievements remains limited. This study investigates relationship between self-reported mental skills determining (i.e., flow state, attention, technique, sensitivity error, commitment, achievement), state for physical activity (of mind body), (including scales noticing, not distracting, worrying, attention regulation, emotional awareness, self-regulation, body listening, trusting). Methods A cross-sectional online survey was conducted a sample elite athletes speed skating ( n = 54) university students education 102) representing various disciplines competitive levels. The Sports Success Scale (SSS), State Mindfulness Physical Activity (SMS-PA), Multidimensional Assessment Interoceptive Awareness (MAIA-2) were used assess athletic achievements, mindfulness, sensitivity, respectively. Results Our findings indicate some small-to-moderate differences particular dimensions traits related success, different genders, groups, chain mediation model showed that variables is fully explained by two interoception: self-regulation regulation. Conclusions Cultivating can improve which turn may increase required successful participation. Therefore, training should focus primarily responsible athletes’ achievements. In addition, individual gender, discipline, level competition be considered during training.

Abstract Imaging studies of subthreshold depression (StD) have reported structural and functional abnormalities in a variety spatially diverse brain regions. However, there is no consensus among different studies. In the present study, we applied multimodal meta‐analytic approach, Activation Likelihood Estimation (ALE), to test hypothesis that StD exhibits convergent compared healthy controls. A total 31 articles with 25 experiments were included, collectively representing 1001 subjects StD. We found consistent differences between controls mainly left insula across various neuroimaging methods. Further exploratory analyses atrophy decreased activities right pallidum thalamus StD, abnormal spontaneous activity converged middle frontal gyrus. Depersonalization-derealization disorder (DDD) is a dissociative encompassing pronounced disconnections from the self and external reality. As DDD inherently tied to detachment body, dance/movement therapy could provide an innovative treatment approach. We developed two online dance tasks reduce either by training body awareness (BA task) or enhancing salience of bodily signals through exercise (DE task). Individuals with (n = 31) healthy controls 29) performed both individually in cross-over design. We assessed symptom severity (Cambridge Depersonalization Scale), interoceptive (Multidimensional Assessment Interoceptive Awareness - II), mindfulness (Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire), vigilance (Body Vigilance Scale) before, during after tasks. At baseline, individuals exhibited elevated depersonalization-derealization symptoms alongside lower levels compared controls. Both reduced group, though was perceived as easier. The DE task increased those more than BA task, whereas showed opposite pattern. In within-subject correlations that were associated task-specific elevations mindfulness.Individual structured practice, at home without instructor present, offers effective tool can be tailored address specific cognitive components mindful engagement body.

Interoception is the perception of afferent information that arises from anywhere and everywhere within body. Recently, interoceptive accuracy could be enhanced by cognitive training. Given anterior insula cortex (AIC) a key node interoception, we hypothesized resting functional connectivity (RSFC) AIC was involved in an effect To address this issue, conducted longitudinal intervention study using training obtained RSFC fMRI before after intervention. A heartbeat task evaluated accuracy. Twenty-two healthy volunteers (15 females, age 19.9 ± 2.0 years) participated. After intervention, enhanced, anxiety levels somatic symptoms were reduced. Abstract Objectives Recent meta-analyses suggest that mindfulness meditation may enhance prosocial behavior, while evidence regarding moral behavior is still scarce. We combined a randomized controlled training design with an ecologically valid decision-making task (Temptation to Lie Card Game; TLCG), in which participants were tempted deceive opponent increase their monetary payoff. Method TLCG and self-report measures (in the domains of attention regulation, body awareness, emotion change perspective self) administered who underwent (experimental group, n = 44) or waitlisted (control 25) twice: before after 8-week training. Results Concerning decision-making, we observed significant effect involving condition, time, group. Trained deceived significantly less post-training as compared pre-training phase ( p 0.03), untrained ones showed no 0.58). In the context of chronic pain management, opioid-based treatments have been heavily relied upon, raising concerns related to addiction and misuse. Non-pharmacological approaches, such as Mindfulness-Based Pain Management, offer alternative strategies. We conducted a mechanistic clinical study investigate impact an 8-week Management intervention on pain, modulation inflammatory markers, stress physiology, oxytocin, their interplay with symptoms perception, in comparison patient wait-list active control. A total 65 participants, including 50 patients 15 healthy controls, underwent salivary assays assess endocrine interleukin (IL)-1b, IL-6, IL-8, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-a, dehydroepiandrosterone sulphate (DHEA-S). Psychological assessments were also evaluate aspects mindfulness, mood, well-being. Findings revealed significant differences between controls various metrics, highlighting psychological distress experienced by patients. Following oxytocin levels significantly increased patients, that was not observed control group. contrast, cytokine DHEA-S decreased (not statistically margins) supporting anti-inflammatory effects Management. The fact levels, marker stress, did attenuate but meaningful suggests reduction solely reduction, pathways may be more salient than previously considered. demonstrated substantial improvements perception mood These results contribute growing body evidence regarding effectiveness mindfulness-based interventions management underscore oxytocin’s potential role therapeutic target.

Interoception, the representation of body’s internal state, is increasingly recognized for informing subjective wellbeing and promoting regulatory behavior. However, few empirical reports characterize interoceptive neural networks, fewer demonstrate changes to these networks in response an efficacious intervention. Using a two-group randomized controlled trial, this pilot study explored within-participant plasticity following Mindful Awareness Body-oriented Therapy (MABT). Participants (N = 22) were assigned either 8 weeks MABT or no-treatment control completed baseline post-intervention assessments that included awareness (MAIA) neuroimaging task. was uniquely associated with insula deactivation, increased functional connectivity between dorsal attention network somatomotor cortex, correlated positively interoception. A malfunction interoception increasingly suggested to be fundamental component different mental health conditions, depressive disorders have been especially closely associated. Interoceptive signaling processing depends on system called “interoceptive pathway,” with insula, located deep part lateral fissure, being most important brain structure this pathway. Neuroimaging studies revealed alterations function insula large number individuals depression, yet precise relationship between these interoceptive dysfunction remains unclear.
