Abstract In the contemporary era, tackling climate change‐related problems has become a vital environmental policy agenda, especially for realizing targets related to SDG‐13. Therefore, this study aims check efficacy of scaling public investments in research and development renewable energy countering causes effects change leading energy‐investing countries. Overall, findings verify change‐inhibiting impact such investments. By contrast, consumption natural resources urbanization are identified as factors responsible piling up concerns long run while no net exports, regard, is evidenced. Moreover, long‐run results affirm that investment projects also exerts moderating partially neutralizing adverse associated with resource urbanization. Furthermore, evidenced mediate repercussions exports on run. Based these key findings, it recommended scale budgetary allocations financing technology development‐oriented initiatives, enhancing efficiency rate utilization, deploying environmentally sustainable policies achieving concerning objectives
