The use of cosmetics and personal care products is increasing worldwide. Their high matrix complexity, together with the wide range currently marketed under different forms imply a challenge for their analysis, most them requiring sample pre-treatment step before analysis. Classical preparation methodologies involve large amounts organic solvents as well multiple steps resulting in time consumption. Therefore, recent years, trends have been moved towards development simple, sustainable, environmentally friendly two ways: (i) miniaturization conventional procedures allowing reduction consumption reagents; (ii) application sorbent- liquid-based microextraction technologies to obtain analyte enrichment, avoiding or significantly reducing solvents. This review provides an overview analytical methodology during last ten placing special emphasis on analyse products. liquid–liquid solid–liquid extraction (LLE, SLE), ultrasound-assisted (UAE), solid-phase (SPE), pressurized liquid (PLE), (MSPD), liquid- sorbent-based techniques will be reviewed. advances future including new materials green also addressed.

The method validated terms linearity, trueness matrix effects. Determination coefficients (R2) matrix-matched calibration curves were higher than 0.99 all cases, being lowest levels range 0.5-10 ng/g.
