Abstract: This narrative state-of-the-art review paper describes the progress in understanding and treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Over last four decades, scientific landscape has matured, with many interdisciplinary contributions to its diagnosis, etiology, epidemiology. Advances genetics, neurobiology, stress pathophysiology, brain imaging have made it apparent that chronic PTSD is a systemic disorder high allostatic load. The current state includes wide variety pharmacological psychotherapeutic approaches, which are evidence-based. However, myriad challenges inherent disorder, such as individual barriers good outcome, comorbidity, emotional dysregulation, suicidality, dissociation, substance use, trauma-related guilt shame, often render response suboptimal. These discussed drivers for emerging novel including early interventions Golden Hours, interventions, medication augmentation use psychedelics, well targeting nervous system. All this aims improve symptom relief clinical outcomes. Finally, phase orientation recognized tool strategize position step progression pathophysiology. Revisions guidelines systems care will be needed incorporate innovative treatments evidence emerges they become mainstream. generation well-positioned address devastating disabling impact traumatic events through holistic, cutting-edge efforts research.

Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a serious psychosis leading to cognitive impairment. To restore functions for patients, the main treatments are based on medication or rehabilitation training but with limited effectiveness and strong side effects. Here, we demonstrate new treatment approach PTSD by using terahertz (THz) photons stimulating hippocampal CA3 subregion. We verified that this method can nonthermally function in rats vivo. After THz photon irradiation, rats’ recognitive index improved about 10% novel object recognition test, accuracy 100% shuttler box numbers identify target was 5 times lower Barnes maze rate of staying arm increased approximately 40% Y-maze test. Further experimental studies found (34.5 THz) irradiation could improve expression NR2B (increased nearly 40%) phosphorylated 50%). In addition, molecular dynamics simulations showed at frequency 34.5 mainly absorbed pocket glutamate receptors rather than molecules. Moreover, binding between molecules photons. This study offers nondrug, nonthermal regulate excitatory neurotransmitter (glutamate) NR2B. By increasing synaptic plasticity, it effectively improves animals PTSD, providing promising strategy NR2B-related disorders.

Domestic abuse is known to be harmful victim-survivor mothers' well-being, and women are disadvantaged by gender-biased systems in England. Less known, however, about victims' experiences with family court specifically relation their mental physical health. Interviews 45 mothers were conducted explore these experiences. Two main themes presented here: (1) health associated proceedings (2) parental alienation allegations as a weapon trap, silence, pathologise mothers. From themes, conceptual framework was developed: Court Perpetrator Induced Trauma (CPIT). These findings may have global significance for services practitioners who work exposed court.

Emotion dysregulation (ED) has primarily been described in patients suffering from borderline personality disorder (BPD) and is an integral part of this diagnosis, but it also a transdiagnostic construct that can be found several other psychiatric disorders. The strong relationships between ED BPD may lead clinicians to underestimate associated clinical contexts. This difficulties diagnostic treatment orientation, especially the context comorbidities. In article, after reviewing literature on development functioning emotion dysregulation, evidence for eight disorders (borderline disorder, pathological narcissism with/without narcissistic obsessive-compulsive antisocial bipolar autism spectrum complex post-traumatic stress adult attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), we present processual model based core triggers interpersonal styles try address issue provide simple technical tool help their assessment orientation. Background: Complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD) describes chronic disturbances in self-organization (i.e. affect dysregulation; negative self-concept; severe difficulties relationships) which are frequently observed survivors of prolonged, repeated or multiple traumatic stressors. So far, evidence psychodynamic treatment approaches for CPTSD is scarce.
