Fourteen lanthanide (Ln)-containing hetero selenato-phosphato-peroxopolyoxoniobates in three series: (1) Cs2{[Ln(H2O)4][H4P2Se2Nb6(O2)6O22]}2·nH2O [Ln = Ce (I-Ce), Pr (I-Pr), Sm (I-Sm), Eu (I-Eu), Gd (I-Gd); I-Ce, I-Pr, I-Eu, I-Gdn 12; I-Smn 16]; (2) Cs2K3{[Ln(H2O)6][H2.5P2Se2Nb6(O2)6O22]}2·nH2O Dy (II-Dy), Tm (II-Tm), Yb (II-Yb), Lu (II-Lu); II-Dyn 14; II-Tmn 24; II-Yb, II-Lun 13]; (3) Cs5K2Hm{[Ln(H2O)6][P2Se2Nb6(O2)6O22]}2{[Lnx(H2O)y]2[P2Se2Nb6(O2)6O22]}·nH2O Ho (III-Ho), Er (III-Er), (III-Tm), (III-Yb), (III-Lu), III-Ho-III-Ybm 5, x 1; y 5; III-Lum 6.5; 0.75; 4; III-Ho-III-Tmn 19, III-Ybn 34; III-Lun 31], have been isolated by a one-pot reaction and structurally characterized various physical chemical analyses. These compounds represent the first group of Ln-functionalized polyoxoniobates with mixed heteroatoms. In addition, photoluminescence properties I-Sm, II-Dy were measured, time-resolved emission spectra showed that {P2Se2Nb6} segment contributed to energy transfer from polyoxoniobate units Ln3+ center, which effectively promoted center.

The reaction of mid to late lanthanide ions with the N,N'-dimethyl-N,N'-bis(2-hydroxy-3-formyl-5-bromobenzyl)ethylene-diamine organic ligand and monolacunary Keggin type [α-SiW11O39]8- anion affords a series isostructural compounds, namely, K5[LnIII(α-SiW11O39)(C20H22Br2N2O4)]·14H2O (1-Ln, Ln = Sm Lu). molecular structure these sandwich-type complexes is formed by LnIII ion in biaugmented trigonal prismatic geometry, which occupies external O4 site vacant lacunary polyoxometalate (POM) unit. empty N2O2 coordination allows its unprecedented folding, displays relative perpendicular arrangement aromatic groups. Weak Br···Br π-π interactions established between adjacent units govern crystal packing, results formation assemblies containing six hybrid species assembled chairlike conformation. 1-Gd 1-Yb display slow relaxation magnetization after application an magnetic field maxima out-of-phase susceptibility plots below ∼5-6 K, ascribed presence various mechanisms. Moreover, photoluminescent emission sensitized for 1-Sm 1-Eu visible region 1-Er NIR. In contrast, quenching metal-centered luminescence 1-Tb derivative has been attributed out-of-pocket mode center within POM fragment. It demonstrated that dual magneto-luminescent material represents first lanthanide-containing reported date simultaneous NIR emission. Solution stability water also confirmed ESI-mass spectrometry experiments carried out 1-Tm.

Two two-dimensional Ln-substituted prazine dicarboxylic acid-functionalized selenotungstates Na3H9[(H2N(CH3)2]2{(Se4W27O100)[Ln4(H2O)8(Hpzdc)2(pzdc)]}·26H2O [Ln = Nd (1) and Ce (2)]; H2pzdc 2,3-pyrazine acid) have been synthesized by one-pot self-assembly strategy, in which the basic polyanion [Se4W27O100]22-was composed of two [SeW8O31]10- fragments, a [SeW9O33]8- segment an intriguing {SeO} group, simultaneously tetra-nuclear Ln3+ ions with pendants were embedded. Compounds 1 2 showed excellent catalytic oxidation thioether properties within short time (20 min) high 100% conversion 98.9% selectivity. A novel binuclear ruthenium-based polyoxometalate, K6H[{Ru2Cl(H2O)(CH3COO)2}{WO(H2O)}2(PW9O34)2]·14H2O (1), was successfully synthesized by the conventional hydrothermal method. Compound 1 well-characterized single-crystal X-ray diffraction, powder diffraction (PXRD), infrared (IR) spectroscopy, photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry (ESI-MS), thermogravimetric analyses (TGA), and elemental analysis. The structural unit of compound contains two [A-α-PW9O34]9- building blocks at upper lower positions connected W atoms Ru atoms, where are arranged in a trapezoidal arrangement bridged acetic acid. Furthermore, features characteristic absorption bands visible region, which allows investigation its photocatalytic properties light. Under simulated sunlight radiation (λ > 400 nm), exhibits high activity good circularity toward oxidative coupling amines to imines room temperature with O2 as sole oxidant.

A Lacunary Polyoxovanadate Precursor and Transition‐Metal‐Sandwiched Derivatives for Catalytic Oxidation of Sulfides DOI

A SeO3 -centered lacunary Keggin-type heteropolyoxovanadate (hetero-POV) K6 H2 [SeV10 O28 (SeO3 )3 ]⋅14 O (1) was isolated by one-pot reaction of KVO3 and SeO2 under acidic conditions. X-ray studies revealed that it comprised a single {VO5 }-capped trivacant B-α-type Keggin ion [SeV9 O33 (VO)]14- with its sites decorated three {SeO3 } pyramids. Interestingly, this new basic hetero-POV building block further used as precursor to assemble different transition-metal (TM) ions, yielding series TM-sandwiched POVs H8 [(SeV10 )2 (M(H2 O)4 )]⋅24 (M2+ =Mn2+ (2), Co2+ (3), Zn2+ (4)). All four compounds were characterized single-crystal structure analysis, IR, photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), EPR, 51 V NMR spectroscopy. Importantly, derivatives exhibited effective catalytic activity for the heterogeneous oxidative desulfurization sulfides at room temperature.
