dual
magneto-luminescent
material

lanthanide-containing
reported

NIR
emission.

acid-functionalized
selenotungstates

synthesized
by
one-pot
self-assembly
strategy,
in
which
the
basic
polyanion
[Se4W27O100]22-was
composed
of
two
[SeW8O31]10-
fragments,

[SeW9O33]8-
segment
an
intriguing
{SeO}
group,
simultaneously
tetra-nuclear
Ln3+
ions
with
pendants
were
embedded.
Compounds

excellent
catalytic
oxidation
thioether
properties
within
short
time

A
novel
binuclear
ruthenium-based
polyoxometalate,
K6H[{Ru2Cl(H2O)(CH3COO)2}{WO(H2O)}2(PW9O34)2]·14H2O
(1),
was
successfully
synthesized
by
the
conventional
hydrothermal
method.
Compound
1
well-characterized
single-crystal
X-ray
diffraction,
powder
diffraction
(PXRD),
infrared
(IR)
spectroscopy,
photoelectron
spectroscopy
(XPS),
electrospray
ionization-mass
spectrometry
(ESI-MS),
thermogravimetric
analyses
(TGA),
and
elemental
analysis.
The
structural
unit
of
compound
contains
two
[A-α-PW9O34]9-
building
blocks
at
upper
lower
positions
connected
W
atoms
Ru
atoms,
where
are
arranged
in
a
trapezoidal
arrangement
bridged
acetic
acid.
Furthermore,
features
characteristic
absorption
bands
visible
region,
which
allows
investigation
its
photocatalytic
properties
light.
Under
simulated
sunlight
radiation
(λ
>
400
nm),
exhibits
high
activity
good
circularity
toward
oxidative
coupling
amines
to
imines
room
temperature
with
O2
as
sole
oxidant.

acidic
conditions.
X-ray
studies
revealed
that
it
comprised
a
single
{VO5
}-capped
trivacant
B-α-type
Keggin
ion
[SeV9
O33
(VO)]14-
with
its
sites
decorated
three
{SeO3
}
pyramids.
Interestingly,
this
new
basic
hetero-POV
building
block
further
used
as
precursor
to
assemble
different
transition-metal
(TM)
ions,
yielding
series
TM-sandwiched
POVs
H8
[(SeV10
)2
(M(H2
O)4
)]⋅24
(M2+
=Mn2+
(2),
Co2+
(3),
Zn2+
(4)).
All
four
compounds
were
characterized
single-crystal
structure
analysis,
IR,
photoelectron
spectroscopy
(XPS),
EPR,

V
NMR
spectroscopy.
Importantly,
derivatives
exhibited
effective
catalytic
activity
for
the
heterogeneous
oxidative
desulfurization
sulfides
at
room
temperature.
