Introduction The well-known eastern Asian (EA) and North American (ENA) floristic disjunction provides a unique system for biogeographic evolutionary studies. Despite considerable interest in the disjunction, few studies have investigated patterns their underlying drivers of allopatric divergence sister species or lineages isolated two areas. Endophyte diversity assembly disjunct taxa, as an ecological trait, may played important role processes evolution, but no examined endophytes these lineages. Here we compared foliar endophytic fungi bacteria-archaea (FEF FEB) 17 EA-ENA clade pairs from genera representing conifers 10 orders five major groups angiosperms 23 Cornus EA America. Methods Metagenomic sequencing fungal ITS bacterial-archaeal 16S rDNA was used to capture communities. Alpha beta bacteria were at multiple scales dimensions gain insights into relative roles historical geographic isolation, host identity, phylogeny, environment samples different sites shaping patterns. Results We found that varied greatly among plant individuals within between same sampling site, three sites, little variation region-of-origin all (EA vs ENA) counterparts genera. Various numbers indicator differing abundance identified each genus species. An overall significant correlation endophyte community dissimilarity phylogenetic distance plants detected not . However, correlations diversities taxonomic distances observed. This study aimed to compare vertical distribution, density and composition formed by native Cornus sanguinea subsp. C. alba, sericea australis the Southern Hemiboreal zone Europe. Five sites each four taxa were selected study, seeds sampled using soil core method (400 samples two layers: upper, 0–5 cm, lower, 5–10 cm). Extracted tested with tetrazolium chloride stain assess viability. Differences among compared generalised linear mixed models (GLMM). The GLMM analysis revealed significant differences bank densities upper between studied (p < 0.001). We found (C. alba australis) much denser containing more viable than sanguinea. All three contained (from 40.7% 45.2% layer) (19.4% 18.2% lower layer). cover habitat type had no effect bank, according GLMM. supports hypothesis those Furthermore, Results this contribute invasiveness taxa.

However, floral morphological morphogenetic data are scarce, a renewed investigation is essential to understand evolution perianth differentiation. Here, morphogenesis in hypoleuca (Koehne) J.Wen (= Koehne) topengii (Merr.) J. Wen & Zhao Merr.) were examined with scanning electron microscopy.
