Avocado peels are the main agro-industrial residue generated during avocado processing, being a rich source of bioactive compounds like phenolic compounds. The growing demand for more sustainable processes requires development new and effective methods extracting from industrial waste. Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) alternative to toxic organic due their non-toxicity biocompatibility. In this study, five selected DESs were applied extraction peels. efficiency was evaluated by measuring total phenolics flavonoids content. best results obtained with choline chloride-acetic acid -lactic (92.03 ± 2.11 mg GAE/g DAP in TPC 186.01 3.27 RE/g DAP); however, all tested show better than ethanol. All NADES extracts have high antioxidant activity (FRAP: 72.5–121.1 TE/g; TAC: 90.0–126.1 AAE/g). synthesized DES had against bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus dysgalactiae, Escherichia coli Pseudomonas putida), prepared highest antibacterial microorganisms. These results, coupled non-toxic, biodegradable, low-cost, environmentally friendly characteristics DESs, provide strong evidence that represent an recovery wastes.

This study focuses on the extraction of bioactive compounds from date seeds using five polyol-based deep eutectic solvents (P-DESs) in combination with hybrid green techniques, specifically microwave-assisted (MAE), homogenization-assisted (HAE), and ultrasound-assisted (UAE). The optimization these techniques was achieved P-DESs showing highest efficiency for extracting seed response surface methodology (RSM) central composite design (CCD) approach. optimized conditions three were further applied form involving six binary ternary methods, to assess percentage increase polyphenolics. Among tested, choline chloride: ethylene glycol (ChCl:Eg) exhibited recovering phenolic compounds. Using ChCl:Eg as P-DES, efficacy found MAE, followed by > HAE UAE. In addition, all showed higher efficiencies than single methods. Notably, combining UAE MAE (UMAE), (HMAE) resulted significantly recovery compounds, 52 % 49 increases total content, respectively, compared techniques. lowest MIC MBC P-DES based extract recorded against tested bacterial strains 40 20 respectively. Published: Aug. 17, 2023

Millions of tons wool waste are produced yearly by textile industries, which may become a serious environmental hazard in the near future. Given this concern, it is crucial to explore strategies reduce amount generated worldwide and adopt more sustainable practices for dissolving regenerating keratin (WK) from waste. Most traditional methods involve use expensive, toxic, harmful, poorly biodegradable compounds. To overcome these limitations facilitate reuse through cascade valorization strategy, researchers have started testing deep eutectic solvents (DES) as eco-friendly alternative WK dissolution regeneration. In study, potential two different DES mixtures, Choline chloride (ChCl): Urea L-Cysteine (L-Cys): Lactic acid (LA), was explored Subsequently, gels obtained based on DES-WK were blended with polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) ratios produce nanofibers using electrospinning technique. The PVA/L-Cys: LA proved be most effective mixture fabricating gel-based nanofibers. Furthermore, their antioxidant antimicrobial abilities evaluated, thus confirming bioactivity. results revealed that approach valorizing offers unique avenue development functional materials applications various biomedical industrial fields.
