Previous research has found a link between sleep quality and psychological distress. However, the underlying mechanisms of this connection have still not been well explored. The aim study was to examine roles activities daily living (ADL), physical activity, perceived social support in distress among older adults.Three thousand two hundred fifty valid individuals (aged 60 years or above) participated face-to-face questionnaire-based surveys. Older were assessed using Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, Barthel International Physical Activity Questionnaire, Perceived Social Support Scale, Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21. PROCESS macro developed by Hayes used conduct moderated mediation analysis.In adults, had substantial direct influence on ADL mediated association activity significantly reduced ADL's mediating relationship Furthermore, distress, as second half effect ADL. As a means of social support, intergenerational support plays an essential role in encouraging older people to participate society. Data on 3142 adults were collected from the China Survey Elderly Health Influencing Factors (CLHLS), and logistic regression models used determine effects several types participation whether self-rated health life satisfaction mediated associations between participation. Background Integrating mental health services into primary care is a potentially cost-effective way to decrease the treatment gap for anxiety in older adults but data on epidemiology of symptoms Chinese settings have been very limited. Methods A total 753 patients (≥65 years) were consecutively recruited from 13 clinics Wuhan, China, interviewed with validated version short form Geriatric Anxiety Inventory (GAI-SF). Results The (GAI-SF ≥ 3) was 21.1%. Statistically significant female sex (vs. male, OR = 1.85, P 0.002), poor economic status good, 2.31, 0.013), fair family relationship 0.006), hypertension (OR 2.01, < 0.001), chronic gastric ulcer 6.82, Parkinson's disease 7.83, 0.031). Conclusions are prevalent among attending clinics.
