Limited research has examined coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)-related work stressors experienced by nursing home (NH) employees and how these may impact employees’ decision to resign when taking organizational factors into account. Thus, the purpose of this study was investigate whether quality employer communication related COVID-19 staff preparedness care for residents with can mediate effects COVID-19-related on NH ( N = 1,730) resign. Results from path analyses indicate that higher more optimal mediated relationship between likelihood resignation. Specifically, levels were indirectly associated reduced resigning through paths preparedness. Findings underscore importance effective during emergencies in NHs.

Abstract Background and aims: Internet Gaming Disorder (IGD) depression have negative consequences on individuals' mental health, but their relationships are complex. This three-wave longitudinal study aimed to detect the metacognitive mechanisms underlying association between IGD tendency based self-regulatory executive function model. Methods: A total of 1,243 Chinese undergraduate student gamers (57% female, M = 19.77, SD 1.29) were recruited at baseline survey (Wave 1 [W1]), with 622 574 them taking part in two follow-up surveys 2 [W2] 6 Wave 3 [W3] 12 months later), respectively. Results: The path model demonstrated, after controlling for autoregressive effect each variable, that consistently predicted not vice versa, while positive metacognitions about online gaming (MOG) significantly both tendency. Moreover, statistically significant mediation paths: (i) MOG [W1] → [W3]; (ii) identified. Discussion conclusions: These findings extend understanding associations among depression, tendency, MOG, highlighting how has a stronger prospective than also reveal mutual effects Integrated programmes emotional regulation training Metacognitive Therapy recommended treatment.

Problematic gaming has been linked to poor sleep outcomes; however, these associations have not yet synthesized quantitatively. This review employed a meta-analysis investigate the relationship between problematic and sleep-related outcomes. A search of Medline, Embase, Web Science, PsycINFO, Google Scholar identified total 763 studies, including 34 studies ( n = 51,901 participants) eligible for inclusion. Papers were included if available in any European language, addressed gaming, contained original data, provided sufficient data calculation effect sizes. Two researchers independently extracted using pre-defined fields quality assessment. Sleep-related outcomes meta-analyzed parameters that reported by 5 or more papers. Significant overall effects found duration g −0.238, 95% CI −0.364, −0.112), OR 2.02, 1.47, 2.78), daytime sleepiness 1.57, 1.00, 2.46) problems 2.60, 1.94, 3.47). Between-study heterogeneity was detected all meta-analyses. Subgroup analyses showed higher inverse size adolescent samples compared adult non-specific age terms duration. This meta-analysis is the first synthesize overall of GD in East Asia investigate characteristics that influence estimates. Methods Systematic independent searches were conducted across PubMed, Web Science, Embase, PsycINFO, Cochrane Library since their inception January 27, 2021. The Agency Healthcare Research Quality scale was used quality assessment. A random effect model calculate 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Results In total, 22 articles (26 studies) comprising 51,525 participants included this meta-analysis. pooled 12%, CI (10%–15%); figure adjusted 6%, (3%–9%) a representative sample. Higher observed males than females (16% vs. 8%, respectively, P < 0.05 ). Subgroup meta-regression analyses revealed studies among gamers or those without sampling reported significantly higher rates. There no significant differences between countries/regions, sample size, score, proportion males, used. Discussion conclusions other world regions. Future should extend such epidemiological research regions accurate benefit local identification, prevention, policy formulation, treatment efforts. Considering its negative effects, effective preventive measures need greater attention.

Abstract Study Objectives Sleep disturbance may cause suicidal ideation (SI). This study aimed to examine their co-occurrence rate among adolescents and investigate whether psychotic-like experiences (PLEs) mediate this association. Methods A total of 17 722 Chinese were included in two-wave longitudinal study. The baseline survey (time 1, T1) was conducted between April 21 May 12, 2021, the follow-up 2, T2) implemented December 26, 2021. At T1, participants completed questionnaires assess sleep disturbance, duration, PLEs, SI, depressive symptoms, sociodemographic characteristics. T2, reported negative life events. Results SI prevalence decreased from 20.2% (T1) 18.4% (T2). Participants with showed significantly higher short duration compared those without SI. Baseline both associated increased risk 6 months later. These links mediated by independent covariates Conclusions findings provide a novel insight into mechanism linking problems suicidality, stress significance assessing addressing PLEs for adolescent suicide prevention intervention.
