The increasing prevalence of allergies and asthma has led to a growing global socioeconomic burden. Abstract Objectives From the ancient, medicinal benefits of Hyssop ( Hyssopus officinalis L. ) have been implicated for respiratory and digestive diseases despite effects on viral infections not mechanistically investigated. In this study, we examined whether extract activated anti-viral innate immunity, as a sentinel immune system, through activation endosomal TLRs recognizing nucleic acids their downstream signaling.
