T-2 toxin is one of trichothecene mycotoxins, which can impair appetite and decrease food intake. However, the specific mechanisms for toxin-induced anorexia are not fully clarified. Multiple research results had shown that gut microbiota have a significant effect on regulation. Hence, this study purposed to explore potential interactions regulate factors in induced by toxin. The divided mice into control group (CG, 0 mg/kg BW toxin) toxin-treated (TG, 1 toxin), oral gavage 4 weeks, construct subacute poisoning mouse model. This data proved was able induce an increased contents gastrointestinal hormones (CCK, GIP, GLP-1 PYY), neurotransmitters (5-HT SP), as well pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, IL-6 TNF-α) serum mice. disturbed composition microbiota, especially, Faecalibaculum Allobaculum, positively correlated with CCK, GLP-1, 5-HT, IL-1β, TNF-α, played certain role regulating host appetite. In conclusion, changes (especially increase abundance Allobaculum) promote upregulation hormones, neurotransmitters, cytokines, may be mechanism anorexia.

Deoxynivalenol (DON), one of the most prevalent mycotoxins found in food and feed, can cause gastrointestinal inflammation systemic immunosuppression, presenting a serious hazard to human animal health. Quercetin (QUE) is plant polyphenol with anti-inflammatory antioxidant properties. In this research, we investigated potential function QUE as treatment for DON-induced intestinal damage. Thirty male specific-pathogen-free BALB/c mice were randomly allocated (50 mg/kg) and/or DON (0, 0.5, 1, 2 mg/kg). We that attenuated damage by improving jejunal structural injury changing tight junction proteins (claudin-1, claudin-3, ZO-1, occludin) levels. also suppressed DON-triggered inhibiting TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway. Meanwhile, decreased oxidative stress caused enhancing concentrations SOD GSH, while diminishing contents MDA. particular, reduced ferroptosis. elevated TfR 4HNE levels, along transcription levels ferroptosis-related genes (PTGS2, ACSL4, HAMP1) mRNA FTH1, SLC7A11, GPX4, FPN1, FSP1, all which reversed treatment. Our findings imply alleviates pathway study, elucidate toxicological mechanism DON, provide basic foundation or theory future prevention treatment, explore strategies prevent alleviate DON's hazardous effects.

Contamination of feed with mycotoxins has become a severe issue worldwide. Among the most prevalent trichothecene mycotoxins, T-2 toxin is particular importance for livestock production, including poultry posing significant threat to animal health and productivity. This review article aims comprehensively analyze pathological consequences, metabolism, toxic effects in poultry. Trichothecene primarily produced by Fusarium species, are notorious their potent toxicity. exhibits broad spectrum negative on leading substantial economic losses as well concerns about welfare food safety modern agriculture. exposure easily results consequences gastrointestinal tract, parenchymal tissues like liver (as key organ its metabolism), kidneys, or reproductive organs. In addition, it also intensely damages immune system-related such spleen, bursa Fabricius, thymus causing immunosuppression increasing susceptibility animals infectious diseases, making immunization programs less effective. The cellular processes transcriptional translational levels induces apoptosis through activation numerous signaling cascades. Furthermore, according recent studies, besides direct abovementioned processes, production reactive molecules free radicals resulting oxidative distress concomitantly occurring damage. conclusion, this provides complex detailed overview mechanism action immunomodulatory stress-related toxin. Understanding these crucial developing strategies mitigate impact avian future.

Abstract The objective of this study is to evaluate the effects tannic acid (TA) derived from gallnut supplementation on growth performance and health status weaned piglets. A total 432 weanling piglets (7.05 ± 1.05 kg) were randomly allocated into 4 treatment groups with 6 replicates 18 pigs/pen. Piglets fed either a basal diet (CON), or diets supplemented 1.5 kg/t TA, 3.0 1.8 zinc oxide (ZnO) for 21 days. results showed that, compared CON, dietary TA did not affect ( p > 0.05) serum biochemistry However, had higher SOD, GPX, CAT activities lower MDA concentration in jejunum than those CON ZnO group. Meanwhile, increased < villus height height/crypt depth, decreased crypt depth small intestine. Dietary also downregulated IL‐1β TNF‐α expression jejunum. Furthermore, reduced abundance Candidatus Brocadia Escherichia‐Shigella cecal digesta. Notably, both negative correlation antioxidant enzymes R −0.60, 0.01), but was positively correlated concentrations = 0.44, In conclusion, improved gut piglets, potentially by regulating redox homeostasis microbiota.

Food contaminated by mycotoxins has become a worldwide public problem with political and economic implications. Although variety of traditional methods have been used to eliminate from agri-foods, the results somewhat less than satisfactory. As an emerging non-thermal processing technology, atmospheric cold plasma (ACP) great potential for food decontamination. Herein, this review mainly presents degradation efficiency ACP on in vitro agri-foods as well its possible mechanisms. Meanwhile, effects quality, factors affecting toxicity products are also discussed.
