Cystic
echinococcosis
(CE)
is
a
neglected
tropical
parasitic
disease
linked
with
significant
social
and
economic
burdens
worldwide.
The
scientific
community
has
minimal
information
on
in
Romanian
people,
hospital
medical
records
are
the
only
sources
that
may
be
used
to
investigate
its
status.
A
7-year
retrospective
clinical
study
pediatric
patients
CE
from
Southeast
Romania
was
performed,
39
children
adolescents
were
included,
aged
2-15
years
old.

hospitalized

Department
Surgery
of
Constanta
County
Clinical
Emergency
Hospital

Apostle
Andrew"

Background/Objectives:
Non-communicable
diseases
(NCDs)
are
the
leading
cause
of
preventable
morbidity
and
mortality
globally.
To
reduce
prevalence
NCDs,

Health
Organization
issued
guidelines

a

lifestyle,

been
adopted
in
various
countries.
Our
study
aimed
to
evaluate
dietary
habits
ethnic
Hungarian
population

potential
differences
nutritional
behavior
compared

population.
Methods:

cross-sectional,
observational,
questionnaire-based

purchasing

Hungarians,

adults,

Young
appear
varied
diet,
but
overconsumption
unhealthy
products
lack
interest
is
evident.
Conclusions:
Appropriate
necessary
all
age
groups;
however,
programs
targeting
adult
Hungarians
especially
important,
as
expressed
little
habits.
Further
research

underlying
relationship

factors
well
socio-economic

offer
