The field of pharmacogenetics, the investigation influence one or more sequence variants on drug response phenotypes, is a special case pharmacogenomics, discipline that takes genome-wide approach. Massively parallel, next generation sequencing (NGS), has allowed pharmacogenetics to be subsumed by pharmacogenomics with respect identification associated responders and non-responders, optimal response, adverse reactions. A plethora rare common naturally-occurring GPCR must considered in context signals from across genome. Many fundamentals were established for G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) genes because they are primary targets large number therapeutic drugs. Functional studies, demonstrating likely-pathogenic pathogenic variants, have been integral establishing models used

The management of orofacial pain to alleviate the quality life affected patients is becoming increasingly challenging for scientific research and healthcare professionals. From this perspective, in addition conventional therapies, new alternatives are being sought, looking at use both natural synthetic products. Cannabis sativa L. represents an interesting source bioactive compounds, including non-psychoactive cannabinoids, flavonoids, terpenes, many which effective improving intensity. Gut microbiota has implications in Central Nervous System (CNS) disorders. Our study systematically identified preclinical studies aimed to investigate the possible gut contribution neuropathy and neuropathic pain. The systematic review is reported accordance with PRISMA checklist guidelines outlined updated 2020. We included research articles reporting neuropathy-related behavioral evaluations and/or neurological scores coupled analysis performed by high-throughput technologies last ten years. Two investigators a search through 3 electronic bibliographic databases for full-text (PubMed, Scopus, EMBASE) three registries (Prospero, SyRF, bioRxiv), cross-references, linear searches. assessed methodological quality via CAMARADES appraised heterogeneous body of evidence narrative synthesis. In total, there were 19 eligible studies. most these reports showed significant changes setting conditions. major microbiome remodeling was fecal transplantation. Mechanistic proof gut-CNS communication achieved measuring inflammatory mediators, metabolic products, or neurotransmitters. As limitation, we found considerable heterogeneity across conclude that current understanding findings suggested an association between pain modifications. provides basis further targeting managing symptoms other neuroinflammation-based CNS protocol registered on international database Prospero under registration number (257628).
