Introduction: Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disease that affects the cystic transmembrane conductance regulatory protein (CFTR), which functions as chlorine channel regulating balance between ions and water across epithelium. Nutrition has shown an important role in this problem due to need for differentiated dietary prescription through hypercaloric hyperlipidic diet associated with anthropometric monitoring, food strategy extra virgin olive oil can bring several benefits its rich composition acids. monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA) their bioactive compounds considered nutraceuticals, capable of modulating gene expression, interfering production proteins metabolites; It anti-inflammatory, antioxidant antimicrobial effects. Method: A clinical trial was carried out children aged 2 11 years attended at João de Barros Barreto University Hospital, age there were 20 children, could not be contacted 3 refused participate, so research had 15 individuals, exposure group (n=8) received monitoring three months control (n=7) standard nutritional guidance disease. The variables were: lipid profile (total cholesterol, HDL, LDL triglycerides), glycemic status (fasting glucose). Results: There reduction rates fasting glucose (p=0.0355) triglycerides (p=0.0157) significant difference when comparing intervention groups. Discussion: no other study found using ingestion pure people fibrosis, only studies mixture soy or docosahexaenoic acid, however, regarding healthy population diseases, tests demonstrate benefit reducing these rates. Conclusion: Supplementation proved effective, however factors influence health such lifestyle habits, general individual variants, longer intake time greater number participants, preferably multicenter, should evaluated, but another tool aggregate various measures improve quality life population.

The Mediterranean diet is a healthy dietary pattern whose main characteristic olive oil consumption. potential health benefits of have been extensively investigated and the present review provides more recent clinical evidence supporting positive impact intake on human health. PubMed (n = 227) Scopus 308) databases were searched for published studies in English over past six years (October 2016 to December 2022), following key word searches "olive oil" "health". Major findings associated with antioxidant anti-inflammatory effects, improvement endothelial function lipid profile, prevention obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular neurodegenerative diseases, modulation gut microbiota. These are attributed nutritional composition oil, which has high content monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA) (oleic acid particular) minor compounds such as polyphenols (oleuropein hydroxytyrosol). Although additional research continues be required, recently generated supports contribute beneficially management variety non-communicable consequence synergism between its components' complexity.

Childhood obesity is a growing global health issue. Its rising prevalence linked to genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors. Obesity in children could lead different comorbidities complications with an increased risk of metabolic disorders, such as insulin resistance, dyslipidemia, type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). First-line treatment involves dietary modifications changes; however, adherence often poor remains significant challenge. Pharmacotherapy, while potential option, has limitations availability can cause side effects, leading interest alternative treatments, nutraceutical compounds. Derived from natural sources, these compounds have anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal, neuroprotective, antiaging, antitumor, insulin-sensitizing, glucose, lipid-lowering effects. This review describes commonly used compounds, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D, polyphenols (such resveratrol curcumin), berberine, white mulberry leaves others, pre- probiotics the management obesity, evaluating evidence on their mechanisms action efficacy comorbidities. The suggests that integration nutraceuticals into diet may positively influence body mass index, glucose metabolism, lipid profiles, gut microbiota composition reduce inflammation obese individuals. These effects provide future practical guidance for clinical practice, contribute improvement, potentially prevent obesity-related complications. In this first part, we discuss sensitivity T2DM, MASLD addition interventions.

Abstract The imbalance in oxidant production and chronic inflammation are the main mechanisms that lead to detrimental effects of diabetes on skin wound healing. Thus, administration antioxidants could improve diabetic This study aimed understand extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) or hydroxytyrosol (HT) healing under conditions. Skin wounds streptozotocin‐induced mice were topically treated with HT. Some animals fed a diet rich EVOO. Wounds harvested 7 days later. In vitro assays, fibroblasts macrophages high levels glucose EVOO HT promoted closure collagen deposition mouse wounds. reduced number infiltrated neutrophils, tumour necrosis factor‐α, lipid peroxidation, nuclear factor erythroid 2‐related 2 also increased anti‐inflammatory phenotype interleukin‐10 fibroblast migration, gel contraction, switched an conclusion, supplementation topical application promotes conditions can be possible therapeutic tool for treatment those lesions.
