Individuals with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) are at a higher risk of developing mental disorders, such as anxiety and depression. The imbalance between the intestinal microbiota its host, known dysbiosis, is one factors, disrupting balance metabolite production their signaling pathways, leading to progression.
