Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are tools for intercellular communication, mediating molecular transport processes. Emerging studies have revealed that EVs significantly involved in immune processes, including sepsis. Sepsis, a dysregulated response to infection, triggers systemic inflammation and multi-organ dysfunction, posing life-threatening condition. Although extensive research has been conducted on animals, the complex inflammatory mechanisms cause sepsis-induced organ failure humans still not fully understood. Recent focused secreted exosomes, which small extracellular from various body cells, shed light their involvement pathophysiology of During sepsis, exosomes undergo changes content, concentration, function, affect metabolism endothelia, cardiovascular functions, coagulation. Investigating role exosome content pathogenesis sepsis shows promise understanding basis human This review explores contributions activated cells diverse cells' vital dysfunction providing insights into potential biomarkers predicting septic shock.

Objective This study aims to systematically evaluate the efficacy of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes (BMSCs-Exo) in improving spinal cord injury (SCI) mitigate risk translational discrepancies from animal experiments clinical applications. Methods We conducted a comprehensive literature search up March 2024 using PubMed, Embase, Web Science, and Scopus databases. Two researchers independently screened literature, extracted data, assessed quality studies. Data analysis was performed STATA16 software. Results A total 30 studies were included. The results indicated that BMSCs-Exo significantly improved BBB score SCI rats (WMD = 3.47, 95% CI [3.31, 3.63]), inhibited expression pro-inflammatory cytokine TNF- α (SMD -3.12, [−3.57, −2.67]), promoted anti-inflammatory cytokines IL-10 2.76, [1.88, 3.63]) TGF- β 3.89, [3.02, 4.76]). Additionally, reduced apoptosis levels −4.52, [−5.14, −3.89]), axonal regeneration markers NeuN cells/field 3.54, [2.65, 4.42]), NF200 4.88, [3.70, 6.05]), number Nissl bodies 1.89, [1.13, 2.65]), decreased astrogliosis marker GFAP −5.15, [−6.47, −3.82]). heterogeneity among primarily due variations transplantation doses, with increasing higher doses. Conclusion motor function by modulating inflammatory responses, reducing apoptosis, inhibiting astrogliosis, promoting regeneration. Abstract Microbial diseases represent a significant challenge to global health, highlighting the importance of developing novel alternative antibacterial agents. The widely used spice and traditional medicinal plant Zingiber officinale its derivatives have been demonstrated possess promising properties. aim present study was assess efficacy -derived exosome-like nanoparticles (ZODENs) against model bacterium, Escherichia coli ( E. ). ZODENs were isolated from rhizome subjected morphological, size distribution, zeta potential characterization. bacterial growth curve assays colony formation that remarkably inhibited following incubation with ZODENs. observed be internalized by bacteria incubation, subsequently remarkable killing effects. Furthermore, ZODEN-derived lipids, rather than remaining fractions, capacity inhibit cells, indicating activity at least partially attributable lipid content. These findings paved way for development ZODEN-based agents will facilitate future clinical translation plant-derived nanomedicines.

Outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) and exosomes are essential mediators of host-pathogen interactions. Elucidating their mechanisms action offers valuable insights into diagnosing treating infectious diseases cancers. However, the specific interactions Helicobacter pylori ( H. ) with host cells via OMVs in modulating immune responses have not been thoroughly investigated. This review explores how these elicit inflammatory immunosuppressive environment, facilitate pathogen invasion cells, enable evasion defenses, thereby contributing to progression gastric extra-gastric disseminated through bloodstream. Furthermore, discusses challenges future directions for investigating exosomes, underscoring potential as therapeutic targets -associated diseases.
