Plant preparations have been used to treat various diseases and discussed for centuries. Research has advanced discover identify the plant components with beneficial effects reveal their underlying mechanisms. Flavonoids are phytoconstituents anti-inflammatory, antimutagenic, anticarcinogenic, antimicrobial properties. Herein, we listed contextualized aspects of protective flavonols quercetin, isoquercetin, kaempferol, myricetin flavones luteolin, apigenin, 3',4'-dihydroxyflavone, baicalein, scutellarein, lucenin-2, vicenin-2, diosmetin, nobiletin, tangeretin, 5-O-methyl-scutellarein. We presented structural characteristics subclasses, importance, occurrence, food sources. The bioactive compounds present in our diet, such as fruits vegetables, may affect health disease state. Therefore, role these inflammation, oxidative mechanisms, bacterial metabolism; moreover, synergism antibiotics better outcomes. Indiscriminate use allows emergence multidrug-resistant strains; thus, be adjuvant treatment infectious caused by resistant opportunistic bacteria via direct indirect also focused on reported mechanisms intracellular targets flavones, which support therapeutic inflammatory diseases.

Obesity has increasingly become a worldwide epidemic, as demonstrated by epidemiological and clinical studies. may lead to the development of broad spectrum cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), such coronary heart disease, hypertension, failure, cerebrovascular atrial fibrillation, ventricular arrhythmias, sudden cardiac death. In addition there are other cardiometabolic risk factors (CRFs) visceral adiposity, dyslipidemia, insulin resistance, diabetes, elevated levels fibrinogen C-reactive protein, others, all which increase CVD events. The mechanisms involved between obesity mainly include oxidative stress, inflammation, adipokine dysregulation, cause maladaptive structural functional alterations heart, particularly left-ventricular remodeling diastolic dysfunction. Natural products plants provide diversity nutrients different bioactive compounds, including phenolics, flavonoids, terpenoids, carotenoids, anthocyanins, vitamins, minerals, fibers, possess wide range biological activities antihypertensive, antilipidemic, antidiabetic, activities, thus conferring benefits. this review, we discuss main therapeutic interventions using extracts from herbs in preclinical trials with protective properties targeting CRFs. Cisplatin (CP) is a productive anti-tumor used to treat numerous tumors. However, multiple toxicities discourage prolonged use, especially toxicity on the reproductive system. This experiment was mapped out determine potential therapeutic impact of Bilobetin CP-induced testicular damage. Herein, isolated from Cycas thouarsii leaves R. Br ethyl acetate fractions for first time. A single dose CP (7 mg/kg, IP) evoke third day. Rats were classified into five groups; Normal control, 12 Untreated CP, and treated with (6 respectively) orally daily ten days. treatment ameliorated injury. In addition, it boosted serum testosterone levels considerably restored relative weight. Nevertheless, apoptosis biomarkers such as P53, Cytochrome-C, caspase-3 decreased significantly. Additionally, enhanced testes’ antioxidant status via activation Nrf-2, inhibition Keap-1, significant elevation SOD activity in addition reduction lipid peroxidation. Histopathologically, preserved architecture improved immunostaining Ki67 substantially, showing evidence regeneration. Bilobetin’s beneficial effects damage are associated effects, lowered apoptotic signals, restoration regenerative capability. may be combination protocols mitigate

Finding new neuraminidase (N) inhibitors to improve anti-influenza treatment is necessary because of the high mutation rates N protein. Over 3,000 flavones/flavonols and their synthesized products from COCONUT database were performed in silico docking screening with N1-H274Y-oseltamivir protein (PDB ID: 3CL0). Several derivatives containing nitrogen heterocyclic groups or aromatic rings showed higher anti-neuraminidase potential than that laninamivir. Especially, linker between flavone aglycone group created interactions triad arginine residues Arg118-Arg292-Arg371, which suggested these compounds could become bifunctional against influenza virus strains at sialic acid binding site adjacent 430-cavity position through binding.
