Background: Studies have reported certain side effects that occur with the use of conventional antidepressants limit their clinical use. Plant derivatives such as Rhus coriaria L. extract can be used alternatives for depression. Objectives: This study was designed to investigate antidepressant-like R. in a mouse model and role monoaminergic system its mechanism action. Methods: A total 174 male NMRI mice were used. Thirty minutes after treating animals common (25 - 200 mg/kg), tail suspension test (TST) performed. One hour serotonergic, adrenergic, dopaminergic antagonists, 100 mg/kg administered, TST performed 30 minutes. Potential synergistic interactions between sub-doses fluoxetine (Flx) imipramine (Imp) also investigated. Injections all administered intraperitoneally. Results: (50 mg/kg) induced (P < 0.001) without altering animal locomotion open field (OFT; P > 0.05). The showed activity blocked by pretreating above-mentioned antagonists 0.05 0.01, respectively). sub-dose increased efficiency 0.001). Conclusions: via antidepressants. We suggest adding dried powder formulation antidepressant agents following thorough studies on substance.

Aim. Drug abuse and addiction are major public health concerns, with millions of people worldwide affected by the negative consequences drug use. To better understand this complex issue, a review was conducted to examine mechanisms action effects drugs abuse, including their acute chronic effects, symptoms abstinence syndrome, as well cardiovascular impacts. Methods. The analyzed data were obtained after surveying an electronic database, namely PubMed, no time limit, grey literature sources, reference lists relevant articles. Results. highlights different categories such opioids, stimulants, depressants, hallucinogens, cannabis, discusses specific ways that each affects brain body. Additionally, explores short-term long-term on body mind, changes in structure function, physical problems, mental issues, depression anxiety. In addition, health, focusing electrocardiogram changes. Moreover, analysis also highlighted possible genetic susceptibility various addictions. Furthermore, delves into withdrawal occur when someone stops using period Conclusion. Overall, provides comprehensive overview current state knowledge addiction. findings can inform development evidence-based prevention intervention strategies address critical issue.

Understanding the intricate role of dopamine D1–D5 receptors is pivotal in addressing challenges posed by aging global population, as well social stress and advancing therapeutic interventions. Central to diverse brain functions such movement, cognition, motivation, reward, are ubiquitously distributed across various nuclei. This comprehensive review explores nuanced each receptor, D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, distinct regions, elucidating alterations witnessed several neurological psychiatric disorders. From substantia nigra ventral tegmental area, crucial for motor control reward processing, limbic system influencing emotional responses, cognitive functions, nucleus reveals a specific involvement receptors. In addition, genetic variations affect risk developing schizophrenia parkinsonism. The further investigates physiological significance pathogenic impacts critical areas like prefrontal cortex, hypothalamus, striatum. By unraveling complexities receptor biology, especially those focused on different nuclei, this provides foundation understanding their varied roles health disease, which essential development targeted strategies aimed at mitigating impact mental well-being.
