In infertility clinics, long-time preserving high-quality spermatozoa is a challenging problem. The present study aimed to prolong of the human by adding pentoxifylline (PT) and L-carnitine (LC) without using high-cost freezing techniques. this experimental study, semen samples 26 normozoospermia men aged between 28-34 yr, were firstly prepared swim-up technique, each sample was divided into following 3 aliquots: untreated control group, LC, PT-treated groups. stored for up 12 days at 4-6 C, sperm motility assessed. percentages sperms with double-stranded DNA, apoptotic, acrosomal interacted evaluated chromatin structure assay, AnnexinV-PI staining, peanut agglutinin, respectively. On day 7, 26.83% ± 4.26 motile in PT group which significantly more than LC (6.67% 0.61) (0.83 0.17) groups (p < 0.001). At 12, while all lost their groups, led 3.17% 0.47 remaining Moreover, on percent apoptotic (8% 0.20) lower LC-treated (5.9% 0.28, p = 0.03). None additives positively affected number DNA > 0.05). could also maintain integrity over storage time days. Despite PT's improved motility, efficient preventing apoptosis reactions. Currently, etiology suboptimal semen quality is poorly understood, many environmental genetic factors, including oxidative stress, have been implicated. Oxidative stress an imbalance between production free radicals, or reactive oxygen species (ROS), capacity body to counteract their harmful effects through neutralization by antioxidants. The purpose this review, employing joint expertise international researchers specialized in nutrition fertility areas, update knowledge reproductive consequences excessive ROS concentrations on Assisted Reproduction Techniques (ART) clinical outcomes, discuss role antioxidants finally why foods dietary patterns more innocuous long term solution ameliorating therefore results ART outcomes. Since a narrative review not systematic/meta-analysis, summarized information present study should be considered cautiously.

Cryopreservation generates a substantial quantity of ROS in semen, leading to decline sperm quality and fertilization capacity. The objective this study was investigate the effects resveratrol its optimal concentration on ram after cryopreservation. Ram semen diluted with freezing medium containing different concentrations (0, 25, 50, 75, 100 μM). After thawing, various parameters such as total motility, progressive acrosome integrity, plasma membrane mitochondrial potential, glutathione (GSH) content, synthase (GPx) activity, superoxide dismutase (SOD) catalase (CAT) lipid peroxidation (LPO) malondialdehyde (MDA) level, SIRT1 DNA oxidative damage, AMPK phosphorylation level were assessed. In addition, post-thaw apoptosis evaluated. Comparatively, addition up 75 μM significantly improved motility cryopreserved sperm. Specifically, 50 demonstrated notable enhancement antioxidant capacity, adenosine triphosphate (ATP) levels compared control group (p < 0.05). It also 0.05) reduced damage DNA. However, detrimental observed at resveratrol. conclusion, cryopreservation solution is for enhancing

Sperm quality is an important indicator to evaluate the reproduction ability of animals. Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) participates in cell energy metabolism and reduces oxidative stress. However, effect regulatory mechanism NMN on porcine sperm are still unknown. Here, 32 Landrace boars were randomly assigned four groups (n = 8) fed with different levels (0, 8, 16 or mg/kg/d) for 9 weeks, then serum semen samples collected investigate function molecular quality. The results showed that dietary supplementation significantly increased volume, density motility (p < 0.05). Interestingly, apparently improved antioxidative indexes testosterone 0.05) serum. Furthermore, upregulated protein sirtuin 3 (SIRT3), antioxidation phosphorylation (OXPHOS), but downregulated apoptosis semen. Mechanically, protected from H2O2-induced stress through SIRT3 deacetylation. Importantly, SIRT3-specific inhibitor 3-TYP attenuated antiapoptosis sperm. Therefore, exerts improve boar via signaling pathway. Our findings suggest a novel potential feed additive produce high-quality

If you and your spouse have been trying to conceive for a year neither of has successful, there is possibility that are one the 50–80 million people throughout world who struggle with infertility. There male component present in approximately 20%-30% these instances. It common knowledge low-quality sperm oxidative stress (OS) both role aetiology Because oxidation DNA, proteins, lipids, excessive levels reactive oxygen species (ROS) potential disrupt viability, motility, morphology cells. ROS responsible changes. Methods: Through use PubMed interface, we searched MEDLINE database studies had completed published during past ten years analysed effect antioxidants on infertile guys (2012–2022). A number different phrases, including infertility, alpha-lipoic acid, zinc, folate, coenzyme Q10, selenium, vitamin, were utilised search. The study's findings indicate inositol serves purpose mechanisms foster contacts between oocytes, it also affects OS cells by way its engagement mitochondrial events. Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) lessens damage caused improves quality ways, morphology, count. might be connection not getting enough zinc diet having sperm. Zinc folate two nutrients can boost quantity When taken orally, Q10 increases as well their overall motility forward movement. therapy selenium (Se) results an improvement sperm's quality, this connected increase ejaculatory production. Only vitamin B12 found improve sperm; does boosting count decreasing DNA damage. Vitamin only proved do this. Conclusions: Dietary supplementation may men semen reducing OS-induced increasing hormone synthesis spermatozoa concentration, morphology. This achieved low semen. Bisphenol A (BPA) is a common environmental endocrine disruptor, and overexposure threat to male reproduction. Although studies have confirmed that BPA exposure causes decrease in sperm quality offspring, the dosage used, underlying mechanism not clear. The purpose of this study investigate whether Cuscuta chinensis flavonoids (CCFs) can antagonize or alleviate BPA-induced reproductive injury by analyzing processes associated with BPA's impairment quality. 40 mg/kg bw/day CCFs were administered dams at gestation day (GD) 0.5-17.5. Testicles serum mice are collected on postnatal 56 (PND56), spermatozoa detect relevant indicators. Our results showed compared group, could significantly increase contents luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle-stimulating (FSH), testosterone (T) males PND 56, as well transcription levels estrogen receptor alpha (ERα), steroidogenic acute regulatory protein (StAR) Cytochrome P450 family 11, subfamily A, member 1 (CYP11A1). also inhibit production reactive oxygen species (ROS), reduce oxidative stress, mitochondrial membrane potential, apoptosis. It has certain effect telomere length DNA copy number. These suggest adult regulating expression stress correlated factors, ultimately mitigate negative effects mice.
