Commonly are emulsion, coacervation, extrusion, spray drying, freeze-drying, molecular inclusion, microbubbles microsponge, fluidized bed coating, supercritical fluid encapsulation, electro spinning/spray, polymerization. this review, APIs categorized by complexity: small (compounds with low weight, like Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Cannabidiol), medium weight insulin, peptides, nucleic acids), living microorganisms (such probiotics, bacteria, bacteriophages). This article provides an overview these including processes, matrix, recent applications APIs. Furthermore, advantages disadvantages common terms improving efficacy for treatments comprehensively analyzed. Amygdalin is a herbal cyanoglycoside that anticarcinogenic effect on many types cancers once hydrogen cyanide (HCN) released. The main objective present study synthesize and investigate potential carboxymethyl chitosan nanoparticles (CMC NPs) as drug delivery agents for amygdalin encapsulation its cancer normal cell lines. this study, encapsulated with (CMC-Am were prepared characterized through their particle size, surface charge, chemical structure dielectric properties. Also, invitro release from CMC NPs was studied. Additionally, cytotoxcity CMC-loaded evaluated MTT assay. results showed exhibited small size 129 nm, high zeta value − 43 mV confirmed stability compatibility NPs. Furthermore, demonstrated sustained during 24 h. Moreover, compared free amygdalin, amygdalin-loaded have significant anti-cancerous human colon HCT-116 breast MCF-7 lines while being safe cells BJ1. conclusion, can be employed an efficient vehicle controlled enhanced cytotoxicity malignant without harming cells.

ABSTRACT Laetrile, known as vitamin B17, is often used interchangeably with amygdalin. Laetrile a semi‐synthesis product of amygdalin, whereas amygdalin naturally occurring substance in many plants. Both compounds have nitrile functional group that, when activated by the intestinal enzyme β‐glucosidases, releases hydrogen cyanide. The two been considered for long time alternative therapy cancer treatment however, findings available literature are discordant on real efficacy laetrile/amygdalin cancer, highlighting negative benefit‐risk ratio. In this regard, study aimed to comprehensively analyze scientific data laetrile/amygdalin, special emphasis their pharmacokinetics, underlying pharmacological properties, mode action potent antitumor agent, and effect human health. results showed that there no clear evidence following administration, especially at clinical trial level. However, vitro studies biological activity these positive effects related antifibrotic, anti‐inflammatory, antiasthmatic, immunoregulatory processes.
