Abstract Mitogen‐activated protein kinase (MAPK) activation by natural compounds is known to be involved in the induction of apoptosis, paraptosis, and autophagy. Cannabidiol (CBD), a bioactive compound found Cannabis sativa , endowed with many pharmacological activities. We investigated cytotoxic effect CBD panel colorectal cancer (CRC) cells (HT‐29, SW480, HCT‐116, HCT‐15). induced significant cytotoxicity as evidenced results MTT assay, live‐dead flow cytometric analysis. Since displayed against CRC cells, we examined on decreased expression antiapoptotic proteins increased Annexin‐V‐positive well TUNEL‐positive suggesting that induces apoptosis. ATF4 (activating transcription factor 4) CHOP (CCAAT/enhancer‐binding homologous protein), elevated endoplasmic reticulum stress, enhanced reactive oxygen species levels indicating also promotes paraptosis. Recent advances in oncological research have highlighted the potential of naturally derived compounds cancer prevention and treatment. Notably, sulforaphane (SFN), an isothiocyanate from cruciferous vegetables including broccoli cabbage, has exhibited potent chemosensitizing capabilities across diverse types bone, brain, breast, lung, skin, etc. Chemosensitization refers to enhancement cell sensitivity chemotherapy agents, counteracting chemoresistance often developed by tumor cells. Mechanistically, SFN orchestrates this sensitization modulating array cellular signaling pathways (e.g., Akt/mTOR, NF-κB, Wnt/β-catenin), regulating expression activity pivotal genes, proteins, enzymes p53, p21, survivin, Bcl-2, caspases). When combined with conventional chemotherapeutic synergistically inhibits proliferation, invasion, migration, metastasis while potentiating drug-induced apoptosis. This positions as a adjunct therapy augment efficacy standard treatments. Ongoing preclinical clinical investigations aim further delineate therapeutic oncology. review illuminates multifaceted role phytochemical, emphasizing its enhance anti-cancer suggesting prospective contributions chemosensitization management.

Abstract Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have emerged as crucial regulators in various cellular processes, including cancer progression and stress response. Recent studies demonstrated that copper accumulation induces a unique form of cell death known cuproptosis, with lncRNAs playing key role regulating cuproptosis-associated pathways. These may trigger cell-specific responses to stress, presenting new opportunities prognostic markers therapeutic targets. This paper delves into the cuproptosis-mediated cancer, underscoring their potential biomarkers targets for innovative strategies. A thorough review scientific literature was conducted, utilizing databases such PubMed, Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, search terms like 'lncRNAs,' 'cuproptosis,' 'cancer.' Studies were selected based on relevance lncRNA regulation cuproptosis pathways implications prognosis treatment. The highlights significant contribution cuproptosis-related genes pathways, impacting metabolism, mitochondrial responses, apoptotic signaling. Specific are breast, lung, liver, ovarian, pancreatic, gastric cancers. objective this article is explore cancers mediated by cuproptosis.

Progression to castration resistance is the leading cause of death in prostate cancer patients. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have recently become a focal point regulation development. However, few lncRNAs associated with castration-resistant (CRPC) been reported. Firstly, we explore CRPC by RNA sequencing and validated using quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) fluorescence situ hybridization (RNA-FISH). The clinical significance FLJ was evaluated collected cohort. Functional loss assays were performed assess effects on cells both vitro vivo. regulatory mechanism investigated immunohistochemistry (IHC), qRT-PCR, dual-luciferase reporter assays, chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assays. highly expressed higher stages Gleason scores cancer. strongly positively correlated androgen receptor (AR), which acts as transcription factor directly binds promoter region enhance its transcription. Knockdown inhibits cell proliferation increases sensitivity enzalutamide (ENZA) vitro. Mechanistically, promotes inhibiting AR nuclear import cytoplasmic protein degradation, thereby activating androgen-independent signaling pathway. Importantly, vivo experiments showed that knockdown inhibited tumor growth enhanced therapeutic effect ENZA. This study identifies novel lncRNA progression.
