The increasing prevalence of metabolic syndrome is associated with major health and socioeconomic consequences. Currently, physical exercise, together dietary interventions, the mainstay treatment obesity related complications. Although exercise training includes different modalities, variable intensity, duration, volume, or frequency, which may have a distinct impact on several characteristics to syndrome, potential effects timing are yet be fully elucidated. Remarkably, promising results regard this topic been reported in last few years. Similar other time-based including nutritional therapy drug administration, time-of-day-based become useful approach for management disorders. In article, we review role discuss mechanisms that could drive metabolic-related benefits performed time-dependent manner.

ABSTRACTABSTRACTPreviously we had demonstrated the development and feasibility of an integrated chrono-nutrition weight reduction program among non-shift workers with morning evening chronotypes. In this current paper, described association between changes in practice loss outcomes upon completing program. A total 91 overweight/obese participated 12-week (Age: 39.6 ± 6.3 y; 74.7% women; BMI: 31.2 4.5 kg/m2). All assessments including anthropometry, dietary, sleep habits, physical activity, process change were measured during pre- post-intervention. Participants who lost ≥3% their body categorized as satisfactory outcome, those did not achieve 3% unsatisfactory loss. The greater daily percent energy intake earlier day from protein (Mean difference (MD): +3.2%, 95% CI: 1.6, 4.9, p < .001) smaller fat later (MD: −2.6%, −5.1, −0.1, = .045), last mealtime −49.5 min, −86.5, −12.6, .009) midpoint eating −27.3 −46.3, −8.2, .006), shorter window (−0.8 h, −1.4, .031) night syndrome score −2.4, −4.3, −0.5, .015) compared to outcome. After accounting for potential confounders, temporal pattern energy, protein, associated odds achieving a findings suggest promising role one strategies intervention.KEYWORDS: Chrono-nutritionmeal timingweight lossobesitytemporal AcknowledgementsThe authors would like thank all participants involved study.Disclosure statementNo conflict interest was reported by authors.Additional informationFundingThis study has been funded Ministry Higher Education Malaysia FRGS/1/2018/SKK06/UKM/02/3.

Current literature has accumulated evidence on the effect of circadian cycle dysregulation metabolic disorders and obesity. Several factors can cause chronodisruption; however, increasing attention been given to temporal pattern meals. Objective: To review relationship between skipping breakfast late eating obesity disorders. Methods: This narrative whose searches were conducted in August 2022 electronic databases National Library Medicine (PubMed) Virtual Health (VHL). Inclusion criteria were: (1) original articles; (2) published English and/or Portuguese; (3) keywords title, abstract, or subject; (4) last 20 years (2002-2022). The exclusion not available full; off-topic; studies with children adolescents. Results: Thirteen articles met inclusion criteria. In both cohort cross-sectional studies, as well randomized clinical trials, an unfavorable association was observed disturbances Conclusion: Evidence date shows that mealtime a significant influence energy metabolism application chrononutritional knowledge be important tool for prevention control diseases associated overweight

Chrononutrition is a branch of chronobiology that evaluates nutrients and the pathways implicated in their regulation accordance with circadian rhythms. Sleep deprivation disturbances have been strongly associated progression different metabolic alterations, time food intake plays fundamental role maintaining homeostasis. It has demonstrated not only components are important, but quantity quality also crucial elements healthy eating pattern. an emerging tool could help improve dietary interventions beyond those derived from consuming adequate amount each nutrient. Diabetes complex endocrine pathology characterized by sustained hyperglycemia. Dietary changes key component obtaining control preventing long-term complications. Recent studies emphasize use chrononutrition its as novel intervention control. The faced challenges such presence gaps literature limit implementation. This emphasizes imperative need for additional research can lead to evidence-based this intervention.

This study aimed to (1) describe the transition metabolic health phenotypes in adults and (2) identify differentiating factors associated this following 12-week weight reduction program. recruited 91 (Age: 39.6±6.3 years; 74.7% women; body mass index (BMI): 31.2±4.5 kg/m2). The intervention incorporates multiple lifestyle domains, including dietary modifications, physical activity, behavioural strategies, chrono-nutrition, which encompasses temporal eating patterns, meal timing sleep. At pre-intervention, 55% participants (n=50) were classified as MHO: BMI≥25kg/m2 fewer three abnormalities, while 45% (n=41) MUO: or more abnormalities. Post-intervention, about 24% (n=22) exhibited positive changes, transitioning from MUO MHO MUO/MHO normal (MHN). proportion decreased 31% (n=28), remained MHO. Participants who demonstrated changes highest increase energy intake protein sources (+5.2% vs +1.1%, p=0.004), particularly during earlier part day (+4.3% p=0.029), greater loss (-7.0% -3.2%, p=0.022), fat (-3.4% -1.3%, p=0.013) visceral (-1.3 -0.5, well higher morning chronotype (72.7% 35.7%, p=0.033), showed negative changes. These results imply that, may play significant roles mitigating among obesity, addition reduction.
