The long-term effects of environmental pollution have been concern as several pollutants are carcinogenic, potentially inducing a variety cancers, including childhood cancer, which is leading cause death around the world and, thus, public health issue. present scoping review aimed to update and summarize available literature detect specific their association with certain types cancer. Studies published from 2013 2023 regarding cancer were retrieved PubMed database. A total 174 studies eligible for this analyzed. Our search strategy brought up most articles that evaluated air (29%) pesticides (28%). Indoor exposure chemicals (11%), alcohol tobacco use during pregnancy (16%), electromagnetic fields (12%), radon (4%) subjects less research. We found particularly high percentage positive associations between prenatal postnatal indoor (84%) outdoor (79%) pollution, well (82%), Positive leukemia (33% 27%); CNS tumors neuroblastoma (53% 43%); Wilms tumor other rare cancers in (50%). was mostly reported assessing (26%). Further needed investigate mechanisms underlying potential indoor/outdoor pesticide risk more preventable measures could be taken.

Rural workers are disproportionally exposed to pesticides and might be at an increased risk of developing chronic diseases. Here, we investigated the impact pesticide exposure on breast cancer (BC) disease profile in rural female workers. This is a case-control study that prospectively included 758 individuals. The was conducted Southwest region Paraná state Brazil, characterized by family-based agriculture intensive use pesticides. We found this has 41% higher BC diagnosis rate 14% mortality than mean rates as well trade volume about 6 times national average. showed substantial population even women who did not work fields but performed equipment decontamination clothes washing male partners worked had urine samples positive for glyphosate, atrazine, and/or 2,4-D. crude association significantly among (OR: 1.58, 95% CI 1.18–2.13). Plastic production, which exceeds one million tons per year, is of global concern. The constituent low-density polymers enable spread over large distances and micro/nano particles (MNPLs) induce organ toxicity via digestion, inhalation, skin contact. Particles have been documented in all human tissues including breast milk. MNPLs, especially weathered particles, can breach the blood–brain barrier, inducing neurotoxicity. This has non-human species, human-induced pluripotent stem cell lines. Abstract The molecular basis of adaptive evolution and cancer progression are both complex processes that share many striking similarities. potential significance environmentally-induced epigenetic changes is currently an area great interest in evolutionary biology. In the field biology intense effort has been focused on contribution stress-induced non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) activation associated with elevated mutation rates acquisition environmentally traits. Examples this process presented combined more recent findings demonstrating ncRNAs transferable from somatic to germline cells leading cross-generational inheritance acquired fact have implicated transient response various plants animals environmental stress consistent Based these collective observations, a general model as well specific testable hypotheses proposed how ncRNA-mediated responses may facilitate transition long-term biological adaptation evolution.

The widespread application of pesticides in agriculture and the consequent heightened human exposure to these potentially harmful substances present considerable environmental health risks. potential link cancer is particularly concerning, underscoring urgent need for more sustainable health-conscious agricultural practices. Pesticides are pervasive global contaminants, with occurring through various routes.
