Abstract
Background
Reactive
oxygen
species
(ROS)
are
increased
in
diabetic
conditions
and

Abstract
The
pathophysiological
mechanisms

cardiovascular
disease
and
microvascular
complications
in
diabetes
have
been
extensively
studied,
but
effective
methods

lacking.

recent
years,
DNA
methylation,
histone
modifications,
non-coding
RNAs
arisen
as
possible

maintenance,
progression

macro-vascular
diabetes.
Epigenetic
changes

For
this
reason,

now
studied
a
therapeutic

slowing
down
its
complications,
