Understanding how gut flora interacts with oxidative stress has been the subject of significant research in recent years. There is much evidence demonstrating existence microbiome–oxidative interaction. However, biochemical basis this interaction still unclear. In narrative review, possible pathways microbiota and are presented, among which genetic underpinnings play an important role. Trimethylamine-N-oxide, mitochondria, short-chain fatty acids, melatonin also appear to roles. Moreover, relationship between microbiome obesity, metabolic syndrome, chronic ethanol consumption, dietary supplements, medications considered. An investigation correlation bacterial community features OS parameter changes under normal pathological conditions might provide information for determination new methods.
