We have introduced a novel approach to competency-based education in mechatronics from the undergraduate postgraduate level. What distinguishes this is integration of modeling and control sampled systems right beginning education. It achieved by changing structure first-semester Calculus course focus on discrete-time systems: emphasizing numerical differentiation difference equations. The curriculum enriched interdisciplinary homework project assignments that, given subsequent courses throughout education, are tied same quarter-vehicle model but vary theoretical complexity. demonstrates multiple dimensions engineering problem, leading deeper understanding. Based studied Calculus, students can solve problem at basic level verify results with measurements. Later, they compare these solutions those obtained using more advanced tools. This creates synergy between different subjects ranging basics theory. article focuses primarily mathematical toolkit that facilitates achievement our didactic goals.

Fast and accurate pose estimation is essential for the local motion control of robots such as drones. At present, camera-based capture (Mocap) systems are mostly used by robots. However, this kind Mocap system easily affected light noise camera occlusion, cost common commercial high. To address these challenges, we propose Easy Rocap, a low-cost, open-source robot system, which can quickly robustly position orientation robot. Firstly, based on training real-time object detector, an object-filtering algorithm using class confidence designed to eliminate false detections. Secondly, multiple-object tracking (MOT) applied maintain continuity trajectories, epipolar constraint multi-view correspondences. Finally, calibrated cameras calculate 3D coordinates markers effectively estimate target Our takes in multi-camera data streams, making it easy integrate into system. In simulation scenario experiment, average error method less than 0.008 m, 0.65 degrees. real compared localization results our with advanced LiDAR-Inertial Simultaneous Localization Mapping (SLAM) algorithm. According experimental results, SLAM generates drifts during turns, while overcome accumulated errors SLAM, trajectory more stable accurate. addition, speed reach 30 Hz.

Urban Air Mobility (UAM) is an innovative concept that offers a distinct solution for dense urban transportation through the use of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), despite not being first technological development in transportation. This study aims to understand society's perspective on this by analysing its benefits challenges. A total 518 individuals living Ankara Istanbul, which are provinces with highest population density Türkiye, were surveyed online as part research. The analysis results indicate system perceived beneficial public, particularly emergency situations, where usage receives general acceptance. However, significant challenges observed terms integrating UAM into existing airspace. Moreover, variations level benefit based gender frequency public usage, well differences challenge age, have been identified. Furthermore, it evident there society regarding knowledge level, attitude, willingness UAM.
