Abstract Scholars have increasingly considered how to promote employee voluntary pro‐environmental behavior (PEB) in the hospitality industry. This research explores normative pathway underlying relationship between perceived corporate social responsibility (CSR) and PEB among frontline service employees. Guided by cognitive theory, we suggest that CSR is mediated organizational commitment this indirect moderated moral efficacy. Meaningful work is a fundamental motivator of employee behavior. Our research approaches meaningful as an ethical phenomenon and examines serial mediation model that delineates the antecedents outcomes work. We propose (independence caring) climate fit can foster meaningfulness. instill sense obligation (duty orientation) ownership (moral ownership) toward organization, which, in turn, promotes behavior (ethical voice) limits unethical (unethical pro-organizational time theft). Across two studies based on four-wave data collected from Indian managerial employees (Study 1: N = 231; Study 2: 190), we found support for our prediction. Purpose Grounded in the framework of social learning theory (SLT), current study explores impact leaders’ unethical proorganizational behavior (UPB) on their subordinates’ self-management and moral self-efficacy, which, turn, affect knowledge hiding sharing among followers. This aims to examine how instrumental thinking influences relationship between leader UPB subordinate behaviors, shaping hiding. Design/methodology/approach Using a longitudinal approach, this research uses two-wave data collection strategy with one-month interval. The cohort comprises 378 employees drawn from technology service firms situated China. Findings Empirical findings confirm that is linked increased follower hiding, as well reduced self-efficacy. Instrumental moderates these effects, amplifying diminishing self-efficacy while reducing sharing. Background: Cultivating internal whistleblowing among nurses is of paramount importance to nurse leaders. Yet, the literature on how leaders can foster this phenomenon limited. Purpose Frontline employees’ proactive behaviors (i.e. job crafting) are critical to satisfying customers’ idiosyncratic needs. If the supervisors practice crafting, their subordinates more likely mimic such behaviors. However, there has been limited research on how leaders’ crafting can influence subordinates’ crafting.
