This article examines the cultural, educational and mental health consequences of large-scale internal displacement for children adolescents from Donbas to other parts Ukraine. The research findings methodological innovations study are discussed in context forced migration caused by previous (2014) armed conflict East Ukraine with additional challenges posed Covid-19 pandemic. Adopting a mixed-methods research design, this study explored the psychological experiences of marginalized young people participating in inclusive music projects, with attention to inter- and intra-personal outcomes underlying mechanisms. We worked four different aimed at from lower socio-economic backgrounds or those special educational needs and/or disabilities. With total sample 134 people, parents, creative practitioners, we used quantitative analyses retrospective surveys assess staff members’ perceptions changes evident individual (n1(total) = 99, n1(female) 39, n1(male) 59, n1(non-binary) 1, mean age 15.59). performed thematic analysis on eleven semi-structured focus group discussions conducted (n2 26), their parents (n3 14), members 21), 82 session reports completed by after each session. The European guidelines and orientation in recent years have been focus on the promotion of equity learning paths counteract early school leaving. Although many actions to reduce leaving implemented, today there remain students who fail achieve satisfactory outcomes leave system early, especially among with a migrant background. To understand dynamics that can lead conditions fragility toward negative educational paths, it is necessary employ complex multidimensional analytical framework considers multiple variables involved. ecological cultural theoretical model development highlights complexity factors influence students’ trajectories, assuming systemic multifactorial interpretative approach. Starting from these premises, this study aims explore impact individual contextual pathways foreign-born students, taking perspective. Two hundred forty-four attending second level secondary answered survey, which explores their perception about: meaning attributed school; role teachers family supporting path; involvement extra scholastic activities. results highlight inclusive play by school, represent place for integration into community foreign students; central relationship emotional support received family, counteracting living; participation migratory background activities as element protection. suggest respond needs, cannot act an isolated entity, but rather should build networks involve families external contexts.
