Abstract Background People report using cannabis as a substitute for prescription medications but may be doing so without the knowledge of their primary health care providers (PCPs). This lack integration creates serious concerns, e.g., to treat medical conditions that have established treatment options. Methods We conducted an anonymous, cross-sectional online survey among patrons dispensary in Michigan ( n = 275) examine aspects relationship with PCP and perceptions related cannabis. Results Overall, 64% participants initiated use based on own experiences vs. 24% citing advice from PCP. Although 80% reported knew they currently used cannabis, 41% had not always known. OBJECTIVE: To understand pregnant patients' reasons for prenatal cannabis use and perceptions of safety, desired undesirable health care experiences, information about secondarily to racial differences in these preferences. METHODS: We conducted a qualitative study including 18 semi-structured, race-concordant virtual focus groups with individuals who self-reported at entry large integrated system Northern California from November 2021 December 2021. The included semi-structured questions that were recorded, transcribed, coded by the research team. Thematic analysis was used analyze data. RESULTS: Overall, 53 participants included; 30 self-identified, as White 23 self-identified Black. Participants averaged 30.3 years age (SD 5.2 years) on average 20.9 weeks gestation enrollment; 69.8% reported daily use, 24.5% weekly 5.7% monthly or less entrance care. Although some quit early pregnancy because concerns potential risks, many perceived lack scientific evidence believed safe. Many preferred over-the-counter prescription medications treating mood, morning sickness, pain, sleep. valued open interactions obstetricians acknowledged their motivations they risks through conversations educational materials. Black participants' perspectives generally similar, but few uniquely described bias related use. CONCLUSION: Pregnant patients manage mood medical symptoms, safer than medications. Introduction: Many health care providers would benefit from greater knowledge and awareness of medical cannabis, even if they choose not to integrate it into their practice. Unfortunately, generally report low cannabis cite this lack as a barrier making patient recommendations. It is important understand providers' its correlates. However, few studies have rigorously assessed clinically relevant cannabis-related knowledge, instead typically focusing on attitudes toward perceived knowledge. Methods: Physicians in university-affiliated system completed an anonymous online survey. The survey participants' basic demographics experience, experiences with education, beliefs about competency regarding relation the current scientific evidence. Few studies have compared knowledge of the specific health risks cannabis across jurisdictions. This study aimed to examine perceptions in Canada and US states with without legal non-medical cannabis. Cross-sectional data were collected from 2018 2019 International Cannabis Policy Study online surveys. Respondents aged 16-65 (n = 72 459) recruited Nielsen panels using non-probability methods. completed questions on nine effects (including two 'false' control items). Socio-demographic collected. Regression models tested differences outcomes between jurisdictions by frequency use, adjusting for socio-demographic factors. Across jurisdictions, agreement statements was highest driving after use (66-80%), during pregnancy/breastfeeding (61-71%) addiction (51-62%) lowest risk psychosis schizophrenia (23-37%). Additionally, 12-18% 6-7% respondents agreed assertions that could cure/prevent cancer cause diabetes, respectively. Health among Canadian respondents, followed had legalized not (P < 0.001). Overall, findings demonstrate a substantial deficit cannabis, particularly frequent consumers.
