This study aimed evaluate probiotic potential 12 (LAB) strains previously isolated molecularly identified from artisanal Colombian Double-Cream Cheese. Probiotic properties, including safety (hemolysis sensibility antibiotics), pH bile salt tolerance, auto-aggregation, cell surface hydrophobicity, antibacterial activity, exopolysaccharide production, were examined. None hemolytic, Pediococcus (16, 18) Lactobacillus (28, 29) found be sensitive all antibiotics. Moreover, tolerated (3.0, 6.5 8.0) conditions (0.3, 0.6 1.0 % w/v). pentosaceus (16), Leuconostoc citreum (17), acidilactici (18), Enterococcus faecium (21,22), faecalis (24) Limosilactobacillus fermentum (29) exhibited medium autoaggregation affinity chloroform. Six a ropy phenotype. Antibacterial activity against foodborne pathogens, Salmonella Typhimurium ATCC 14028, Listeria monocytogenes 19111, Escherichia coli 25922 Staphylococcus aureus 25923, was strain dependent, with 16, 18, 21, 26, 28 29 presenting higher inhibition (>4 mm) them. According Principal Component Analysis, P. Leu. mesenteroides (26), L. casei (28), (29), E. (21) showed strong properties. Our findings suggest that five out sampled are probiotics could used processing dairy products on industrial scale improve quality.

Overweight and obesity are associated with increased intestinal permeability, characterized by loss of gut epithelial integrity, resulting in unregulated passage lipopolysaccharide (LPS) other inflammatory triggers into circulation, i.e., metabolic endotoxemia. In obesity, shifts the microbiome negatively impact permeability. Probiotics an intervention that can target introducing beneficial microbial species, potentially restoring barrier integrity. Currently, role probiotic supplementation ameliorating obesity- overweight-associated increases permeability has not been reviewed. This systematic review aimed to summarize findings from both animal clinical studies evaluated effect on obesity-induced impairment (International Prospective Register Systematic Reviews, CRD42022363538).
