Litchi
chinensis
(lychee)
is
one
of
the
most
important
tropical
fruit
crops
in
Asia.
Despite
annual
increase
research
on
lychee
fungal
pathogens,
few
studies
have
been
conducted
saprobic
litter
fungi,
which
may
also
be
sources
pathogens.
We
collected
samples
from
Guangdong
Province,
China
during
our
biodiversity
survey
leaf
fungi.
The
species
were
isolated
and
identified
using
morphological
characteristics
phylogenetic
analyses
combined
internal
transcribed
spacer
nrDNA
(ITS),
large
subunit
(LSU),
small
(SSU),
translation
elongation
factor
1-alpha
(tef1-α).
Based
molecular
data,
we
herein
introduce
a
new
genus,
Pseudoneohendersonia,
belonging
to
Neohendersoniaceae
with
type
P.
guangdongensis
sp.
nov.
Additionally,
three
host
records
associated
L.
viz.
Crassiparies
quadrisporus,
Rhytidhysteron
neorufulum,
tectonae.
provide
full
descriptions,
illustrations,
multigene
trees
for
novel
genus
records.

During
our
investigations
of
saprobic
fungi,
five
fungal
collections
from
terrestrial
habitats
in
China
and
Thailand
were
examined
using
both
morphological
multi-gene
phylogenetic
approaches
(LSU,

novel
species:

Freshwater
fungi
consist
of
a
highly
diverse
group
organisms
in
freshwater
habitats
worldwide.
During
survey
fungal
diversity
across
different
regions
Jiangxi
Province,
China,
four
were
collected.
To
study

phylogenetic
relationships,
the
internal
transcribed
spacer
(ITS1-5.8S-ITS2),
