Abstract The recent introduction of new-generation immunoassay methods allows the reliable quantification structural brain markers in peripheral matrices. Neurofilament light chain (NfL), a neuron-specific cytoskeletal component released extracellular matrices after neuroaxonal impairment, is considered promising blood marker active pathology. Given its sensitivity to wide range neuropathological alterations, NfL has been suggested for use clinical practice as highly sensitive, but unspecific tool quantify While large efforts have put characterizing profile many neurological conditions, received far less attention potential biomarker major psychiatric disorders. Some months after the remission of acute COVID-19, some individuals show depressive symptoms, which are predicted by increased peak body temperature (PBT) and decreased blood oxygen saturation (SpO2). The present study aimed to examine data on whether long COVID is associated with insulin resistance (IR) in association neuroimmune oxidative (NIO) processes during infectious phases.

Abstract Major depressive disorder (MDD) is associated with T cell activation, but no studies have examined the combined effects of activation and deficits in regulatory (Treg) cells on severity acute phase MDD. Using flow cytometry, we determined percentage median fluorescence intensity CD69, CD71, CD40L, HLADR-bearing CD3+, CD4+, CD8+ cells, cannabinoid type 1 receptor (CB1), CD152 GARP (glycoprotein A repetitions predominant)-bearing CD25+ FoxP3 30 MDD patients 20 healthy controls unstimulated stimulated (anti-CD3/CD28) conditions. Based cytokine levels, assessed M1 macrophage, helper (Th)-1 cell, immune-inflammatory response system (IRS), growth, neurotoxicity immune profiles. We found that profiles (including IRS neurotoxicity) were significantly predicted by decreased numbers or GARP-bearing expression combination increases activated (especially CD40L+ expression). showed increased CD3+ CD71+, CD40L+, CD4+ HLADR+, HLADR+ CD71+ expression, lowered FoxP+ CB1+ as compared controls. The Hamilton Depression Rating Scale score was strongly (between 40% its variance) a lower number CB1 Treg one more subtypes CD40L+).
